We do not have a solution to redeem with channel points at this time.
We will keep your comment as a suggestion for future updates, just in case we will re-evaluate the Twitch integration.
Awesome. Thank you.
I don't know if this helps at all, but i had a thought you could also use and pin to this for when or if you do decide to add this feature into Animaze. (I mean, technically Animaze doesn't have full Twitch Integration without his.)
It might be possible to use the same method you have for 'do action based on keywords spoken in chat' with the redeeming system. Since when you redeem something, Twitch chat shows "Redeemed" then lists the reward word and channel points amount.
You could you this specific detail and build upon it by having Animaze search for this keyword, which would be Redeemed and only do actions based on the word chosen for the reward. An example: User redeemed AvatarWave Shards200
Something like this would be very similar to the existing chat/action system, however, it would be activating when both 'redeemed' and 'channel point reward name' are used in tandem.
Love your program. Look forward to seeing what else you come up in future releases.
The only issue right now for us is that the Twitch integration is not used that much, and in order to invest more development time in it would require to see a spike in usage
Easy workaround for you could be using streamer.bot together with Animaze.
Creating an action on the bot to trigger a message/command in chat from channel points redeem and then adding an Animaze action that only accepts the word from the bot account.
( Chat participation -> Specific viewer )
It's a catch-22. To make it more feature-complete requires more users, which requires users to accept a currently-incomplete implementation, which discourages users from using it, thus creating the problem of not many using it...
Channel points are one of Twitch's most widely used integrations across their platform. Every channel uses it in some form or another. Think of how cool it would be for viewers to be able to use their channel points to add a prop to your avatar temporarily. It would certainly make Animaze stand out more from it's competitors.
Agreed, in the meantime, here is the current solution to use channel points + Animaze actions: can be done via the general text triggers "spoken" by the channel bot (as described by Pine above). Set up a Twitch action with Chat Participation->Specific user, and have that specific user be your channel bot. You can pre-set and trigger any number of Quickscenes (with headgear and whatnot) and change them back and forth based on channel point redemptions, as they are called out by the channel bot using specific keywords.
Using the channel bot to provide a correct text input to trigger an Animaze action should be a robust "catch-all" solution (also future-proof in terms of working with new features that Twitch may add and the channel bot can see and react to). If we see that being used more, but being limited in some specific way, please let us know and we can think about adding more "hand-holding" specifically for it.
If you are a hacker/maker, there's also the Animaze API if you want to trigger more complex things via a Python script or similar (you can code in complex behaviors and such, triggered by what your app or script can "see").
