oh what a clever answer.
Performance: If you had 15 main depots running in parallel, we would have extreme performance problems.
Simplicity: We got a lot of feedback from players who wanted to focus on building the routes rather than the 3D depot. So we thought this was a good compromise to make it as simple as possible for those players, but still allow the other player group to use the main depot for building.
- As bus line builder, the realism is missing for me. As in real life, not every city is only served by busses. Here you need hundreds of them to cover all the routes. I miss trams, subways, trains etc.
But multiple depots are mandatory as busses don't drive through the entire state to reach the start point of a line.
- As depot builder and manager, the new solution is clearly a disappointment.
The current depots are way to small, single floor for staff buildings is a lack, the weird sizing of paking lots and streets make it hard to use fully use the space (there is always a place which cannot be used because no object fits in)
If will be only one depot to manage, please add at least one upper floor and a basement for additional underground parking lots. :)
just right
compromises for games are NEVER a good idea, OPTIONS are.
option for players who wants just build lines (which in my eyes is a terrible game concept, because it's just one thing to do then) : give the option for adding this parking lots where you pay for the services but don't have to take care off anything. option for players who want diverse and detailed gameplay: let them build a real 2nd /3rd depot. or other something else to do. this right now is just not enough for keep me interested.
for me the game is silly now, I expect from a game the longer I play, the more mechanics, more deepness is added, here the longer I play the less I have to do. right now just 2 things left to do: painting lines on the map and clicking on "repair" button and select some options. sorry, that's just not enough to keep me engaged.
where is the manager part in "city bus manager" in endgame? it's just "city busline designer" now...
look forward to more depots
