Hi everyone,

I'm pleased to announce that our latest prototype, v1.1006, is ready to be shared!

The team's been hard at work on a major new update to Farworld Pioneers that addresses common complaints and extends the story further.

If you'd like to try out the update, you can access it early by switching to the "update1.1preview" branch in Steam:

1. Right click the game in your Steam library
2. Press "Properties"
3. Open the "Betas" tab
4. Enter the code: updatepreview

You should now be able to choose update1.1preview as the branch. The game will update, and when you open, you should see a different version in the title screen at the bottom right.

Latest Version on the main Steam branch: 1.093
Latest Version on the prerelease branch: 1.1006 (NEW! December 16th)

What's new since 1.096?

Note: This is a sneak peek of WORK IN PROGRESS! It's probably about 3/4 of the way done and a lot of content is still considered placeholder. We greatly appreciate your feedback as we prepare this version for release!

A WHOLE NEW UNIVERSE!
  • 5 unique planets are now available. Visit Ohayo, Amaterasu, Alpin, The Volcano Planet* and The Moon*.
  • Hundreds of new items & outfits, new blueprints, new plants, new crafting recipes, new materials, and the Faster-Than-Light Freighter!
  • Improved world generation adds underground cave networks and new subterranean adventures.
  • Rebalanced and tuned everything from food to weapons, including heating equipment, electricity, ores, production yields based on player feedback.
NEW QUEST SYSTEM!
  • Experience the lore of Farworld Pioneers like never before! Investigate a strange signal! Destroy the mainframe! Build a spaceship! Meet the desert nomads! Take down a mercenary group! Bribe the manseals! Walk on the Moon! Laser-mine the meme crystals! Rappel down into a Volcano! BRING WEENIE HOME!
  • Enhanced minimap now tracks visited locations, quests and waypoints.
IMPROVED AI!
  • Raiders can now breach your colony with explosives, and night creatures will gnaw at your structures unless you upgrade your defenses.
  • New work shift and patrol features to keep the colony running and protected 24 hours a day.
  • Many fixes and improvements to pathfinding, roaming, wandering and navigating terrain for both creatures and colonists.
UPDATED RESEARCH TREE!
  • Reorganized progression gates and mystery items for a fresh, new adventure.
  • Permanent enhancements can now be researched: Woodcutting, Mining, Growing, Smelting efficiency, Research Speed, Weapons Training
AND MANY MORE SMALL IMPROVEMENTS!
  • You can now order your colonists to Deconstruct blocks
  • Colonists will now repair damaged colony blocks
  • All weapons now have relevant typed damage (Burn, Slash, Piercing, etc)
  • Tools, weapons, firearms, throwable items, blocks, now have tooltips to show their damage values/strengths
  • Right-click context menu works once again, allowing orders to be issued
  • Basic Patrol order can be issued to post your colonists at specific locations
  • Rebalanced hardness of various blocks and explosive damage values to make high tech constructed materials more resistant to weapons
  • Rebalanced food nutrition values
  • Rebalanced food recipe costs and unlock conditions; overhauled chef specialty unlocks
  • Added Masonry Bench, plus recipes for stone tiles, stone bricks and stone pillars for every rock type
  • Added Distilling, alcohols
  • Added various furniture

Did this massively increase the ability and inclination for enemies and wildlife to demolish and tunnel? I'm seriously considering turning on peaceful mode just to let me leave my base to mine occasionally, without coming back to holes in everything and injured colonists everywhere. I'd never once considered turning on peaceful mode in 1.093. Also iron seems way more scarce? The worldgen seems a lot more grindy and unfun.

Но ... на мой взгляд, тем что вы позволили монстрам ломать блоки - вы тем самым испортили игру, Когда я возвращаюсь из шахты и вижу вокруг своей базы изуродованный монстрами ландшафт - мне становиться уныло, и хочется все бросить.

Can you add Bug report in steam and news and update in steam news?

Bugs in Multiplayer:

1. Objects disappearing:

Description: Sometimes when you take and move an object, the object disappears. (This bug may fix itself after approximately 5 minutes of gameplay.)
2. Enemies respawning in front of the player:

Description: Enemies sometimes respawn directly in front of the player.
3. Player 2 cannot travel in the ship:

Description: Player 2 is unable to travel in the ship.
Error message: "Could not get zdoor entity. Setup fail? Try moving away and coming back. Please report this."
Temporary workaround: Close and restart the game.
4. Enemies rising up after being slain:

Description: When you slay enemies, they sometimes rise back up as if in idle position.
5. Loop in the register:

Error message: "EntityPlayerAI.GetSquadIconMode() unknown taskType=idle"

Agreed, The metal doors and stone walls you make are also useless as the animals/enemies can break through them very easily, The only way (apart from turning on peaceful mode) is to build 5 block wide deep holes each side of the base, Personally and as others have mentioned in their playthroughs i think the animal attacks should be some kind of event, not something that happens all the time, its making the game frustrating (especially for the starter planet)

constant bugs with ship travel, cant travel with friends, or stuck in travel state, that sucks
