Since this issue wasn't solved, yeah... that's a big problem. In the demo I only saw potential, obviously it only contained a small part of the game but it was mainly the AI that needed a big overhaul
But not only did that apparently not happen, but it seems the game got even worse with players falling through the world now, that wasn't a thing in the demo
So yeah, this sucks, hope they can fix the game. Maybe we just gotta check back in six months to a year and hope for the best
Is there a source for that somewhere, or is that just the general speculation?
There (likely) won't be emergency fixes, or at least not many. The biggest issue that's keeping me from hitting the "buy" button is the broken friendly npc AI. That kind of thing is a complicated beast of an issue that won't see a quick fix. I'm speculating that'll be awhile.
I just played a 3 hour mp session with a buddy, we took a 15 min break...left the game...came back loaded it up and all 3 hours gone. Saves are breaking, AI are breaking, Item pickup in multiplayer(lol every now and then i'll pick something up and it will literally rotate around my character and not pickup or disappear). Cant save any of the sound options, they always reset after loading the game....you can open the workbenches multiple times, forcing u to have to close out the same window several times. And don't get me started on the targeting, basically it works when it wants to...sometimes it's impossible to hit things. Oh and the funny as hell unknown damage that happens above ground(buddy and I found out it was invisible snakes, swung a bunch of times and the dead snake body appeared.
Bottomline....i'm glad i'm using gamepass cuz this would prob be the first game I ever bought for 15 bucks that actually made me feel ripped off. In no way shape or form should this have ever been full released in this state. This needed at least another 3-6 months baking before release.
Sadly, I agree with you about the 15 bucks opinion, I feel like cheated at buying this supposed 1.0 product which seems to be a Beta at most... I just hope devs will act soon and fix these issues because this game has potential and it would be a shame to see it die like this
