We're also experimenting and testing some stuff to make it easier and less frustrating. Will keep you posted.
@MB Geek, I think auto-aim will solve the issue you mentioned.
A simple solution for this would be to disable achievements if ppl start using custom stuff. Both sides are then happy. Also, if there's a Switch version, you should add achievements in the game menu to give the ppl looking for a challenge an initiative to want to get the game and play it on normal mode.
I wasn't too happy about being forced to use 2 ppl, but I'm more open to it now. I would just compare it to when you have to carry the dog in Spelunky.
Lastly, I'm curious if there will eventually be a physical version for Switch. I'm holding out buying it on Switch until this hopefully happens. Thank you.
The auto-aim is only for Easy mode. I was playing Falling Out Coop/VS with an avid Spelunky player on twitch using Steam Remote Play Together, and he welcomed the auto-aim when throwing stuff at enemies. I prefer it off :). In fact you can turn it off from settings.
And yes, when doing a custom game, it will disable hi-scores and achievements - the player is warned before entering the game.
Re: physical version for Switch, I would love that, but unfortunately it's very costly to do. So sadly, I don't think there's going to be a physical version. :(
Sorry but, some people are not "eat sleep video games" people. we need an easier mode because it is not the end of the world. you can always use SAM to unlock everything. video games are not the ONLY one aspect of life but ONE aspect.
Thanks!!
ilke (the other dude), you really should calm down with the caps and !!!, cause I mentioned a way to cater to both sides. I wasn't just saying to make the game challenging. You mention ppl who eat sleep play games like they take things too seriously, but here you are getting upset just because someone has a different opinion. And before you say something about my comment again, know I didn't cap entire words and add !!! Chillax
As regarding to different opinions, let's keep the discussion cool. We're all here to play games and have fun. :)
I'm trying my best to keep the challenge in the game, but at the same time make the Easy mode welcoming for new players who perhaps don't want such a challenge. For me it's very difficult to judge the "easiness", as I've been playing it a lot especially with my kids. So I'm listening to what is frustrating players and tweaking when it makes sense to tweak.
Btw, the patch will probably come out later today ilke, with the custom game options. Final stages of testing ;). Will ping you here when it's live.
Regards
Nev
As far as the big ones on YT, screw them! That's an insane asking price for them. Greedy pigs! There are plenty of good ones that don't cost anything like clemmygames or tenorgames ( i think that's how the 2nd one is spelled ). I'll find what I can and let you know.
Nev the Dev. I like that :D
Thanks for the tip on Vinny
