AMD Driver Thread - [ Black Screen ] SOLVED

We have recieved many accounts of AMD hardware failures.

Please post your system specs and describe the issue you are having.

If you are not having issues running the game, please post your GPU and driver information as well.

Known supported GPUs:

- 5700 XT
- 6700 XT

Known cards with black screen issue:

- RX 580
- RX 570
- RX 560

We have been testing on newer generation AMD hardware without issues such as the 6700 XT. Therefore we just purchased an older RX series card on Ebay as they are not available in stores anymore.

As soon as this card arrives we will have more data to pull from to solve this issue.

Runs now on AMD RX580 8GB
Things were not functioning though on the AMD build like:
Cannot chop trees
cannot mine stone
I could only gather plants
Gamepad support was messed up
Even when using steam controller support the game still was picking up controller binds even though trying to mimic the keyboard.

The frame rate worked better on Low-Mid settings but Low has no vsync support so a lot of screen tear.
Also was experiencing lag spikes when running which also affected turning while running.
Early days but i can report that my AMD card is now running the game with no black screen.

Can run the game, areas with low foliage are better. Surprisingly smooth for something at 20fps.
Areas with high ground clutter I was getting between 5-10 fps.
Game did crash once upon loading up,
Then the game crashed upon my death. Not sure if that's related since I don't know if there's a cut scene or some sort of extra animation when you die.

Thank you for testing, did you make sure to hold down the left click when near the trees with the multi-tool equipped?
