Are you right-clicking to place the buy or sell buttons after you drag them onto the chart? It seems this is an easy point to miss, so I'll likely change it in a future build.

Please see the tutorial PDF (available on the store page as the 'manual' or in the game folder) for more details about placing orders, etc.
