What is Skate City?
Skate City is a dreamy and nostalgic 2.5D skateboarding game that invites you to cruise the streets of real-world, iconic skating locations like Los Angeles, Oslo and Barcelona. There’s over 100 challenges to complete or you can chill out and ride at your own pace in Endless Mode to a soundtrack of lo-fi beats. The Skate City Store Page has more info, GIFs and video.

How can I play?
While we recommend using a gamepad like a PlayStation or Xbox controller for the best experience, players can also use the mouse and keyboard to play. Use either the WASD or the arrow keys to modify tricks, and click and drag with the mouse for different base tricks. Head to the Trick Guide for detailed instruction. The game will automatically detect which method you’re currently using.

How do I use the Camera Controls?
There are different camera angles available using our zoom, fish eye, and slow motion controls in Endless Skate mode. Click the recording button or hold down on the D-pad to enter recording mode in Endless Skate. Toggle between lenses, use the slider to zoom or pan around the skater (in fish eye), and use slow mo for dramatic effect any time you see fit. Recordings are saved to your game folder on your hard drive.

I’m stuck on a trick/level/challenge. Help!
If you’re not sure how to do a trick, please first consult the Trick Guide. It can be accessed in-game via the pause menu. If you are still not sure, the quickest way to get help is to ask in the #skate-city channel of our Discord server (join here: https://discord.gg/snowman). Otherwise, drop a comment below and we’ll reply when we can.

What can I do if I run out of skate cred?
If you’ve spent all your skate cred, don’t panic! You can still sell videos to sponsors to earn some back. Just use the in-game recorder to capture a video of your most impressive combos and once you stop recording, you’ll be asked if you’d like to sell it.

Can I ride goofy?
There is currently no option for goofy stance in the game but if we add this in the future, we’ll be sure to let everyone know on social media @skatecitygame!

The game is developed by Norwegian studio Agens and published by Canadian studio Snowman.

Any chance that you will be adding workshop and or mod support for customization? I watched let's play videos and the games 3 areas look great so I purchased the game today. I just think it would be great to add customization features to further the playtime and enjoyment of the game, especially if there are no more areas or dlc being added in the near future despite the Apple version from 2019 having content not yet available on PC.

I have a problem, when I go to film a line or do the callout or first lines challenges it always lag my game out can anyone help??

I haven't had the lag problems while filming, but one problem i do have is when I try to access the leaderboards, nothing happens..

Another problem I have is that, I realized the hard way the game has no cloud save, so if you try playing on another computer as I did on my laptop while I was away from home, you will start from beginning and can't transfer your save. I was able to fix the situation by streaming the game from my main PC at home that I started the game on to my laptop, but it would be nice if the devs could enable cloud saving by default as most games do on Steam.

I really want to love this game it ticks all the boxes for me aesthetically, however the FPS issues are massive. I have a gtx1070 with i56600k should have zero problems running this game but past the tutorial there is an insane amount of stutter and lag, this game NEEDS to be butter for it to be worth playing and I am not planning on refunding but will wait for a patch. I notice when you change the resolution in game the settings never change it always defaults to 1080p 50 hz it's weird. Anyway love the aesthetic of this game and can't wait to play it more once the bugs are ironed out.

The game definitely has resolution issues, mine is stuck at 3840x2160 and 60hz, and yes I can't change it either. I am using a 2080TI, I have not really had any noticeable lag, but I have seen the fps go from 60-50 real quick but it has not effected the gameplay. But yeah, we should be able to change settings and have unlimited FPS, I try turning off vsync and can't do that as well. Hopefully game gets updated soon.

-Please add proper 21:9, 3440x1440, and a custom FPS limiter.

-The game isn't accepting 100 hz resolution settings: It automatically reverts to 49 hz. (in fact, it reverts anything higher to 49 hz back to 49).

-Allow tricks to be executed on keypress and not on release (stick ones).

-I'd definitely switch the nollie tricks from the right stick to the L/R buttons, and use the right stick for balance on grinds.

Overall, I'm surprised this is tagged as full release and not early access - because it sure feels shallow as one.

Dear Developers, I love the idea of your game, however I must say this -- your PC (Steam?) build is a mess. I'd like to leave a review of this game, but I'll postpone this until you refer to the following points and, hopefully, fix (or not?) these issues:

1. Huge loss of FPS after a couple of seconds in Challenge mode. Some users also report this during recording in endless mode. What is interesting, this happens (for me) only when I plug in my controller (Xbox Series Controller+Win 10). No issues with M+K only. What the fudge?
   
2. Graphical settings don't save their state after going to other menus. Are they actually changing how the game works?
   
3. A minor, but a stupid one nonetheless. Your main executable sits in a versioned folder. I'm sure it's not a problem for Steam and future game updates cause probably you can just point out to the latest executable and most end users won't see any difference (I have no idea about Steam dev, so it's just my speculation). But for people, like me, who are strange and like to profile their running apps it will be a pain in the future. Unless there won't be any updates... Anyway, that's a super strange software development pattern.

SUCESS BUG

I've been playing the game for 18hours, took me 7 to complete all challenges, now i've been playing eleven hours to try to get the bail sucess, i've tried everything but it still doesn't unlock, please fix this, the success in itself is already tedious, but if it's buggy....

I come from loving the game to being overly frustrated by it
