xbox controller not being detected when streaming game to ATV using Launchbox/Steamlink

I am trying to stream this game to my ATV in another room using Launchbox and Steamlink, ubt this game just won't recognize the controller for some odd reason. Other games work fine, it's just this game giving me problems. The controller works fine if I am playing the game locally. The conroller is paired directly to the Apple TV via bluetooth, and I am using steamlink.app to remotely connect to the PC. Once connected to steam, I have Launchbox's BigBox app launched, and then from there I am loading up the game. If anyone know's how I can fix this, I'd appreciate it.
