Good to know that it keeps your character progress. In that case, it's interesting that they reset the challenges and collectibles, because they give XP that you use to level up. So theoretically you can keep starting a new game and farm those specific challenges/collectibles to level up?

Yes it does!!! After you beat the game you need to keep that and just replay the levels you want. Don't start a new game, it wipes everything!!!
