Xbox can crossplay with everyone, well steam & epic afaik.
*Edit*
Maybe go to start game, find player and check for their name
You have to go into the character select screen then press the button to find players

You can test with my name on Xbox, I'll start an open party. It's d0x360 & I have a party open. It's 6 player... Damn, the Xbox can do 8 wireless controllers so I wonder if you can play with that many people at once locally too.
Xbox Play anywhere tends to mean the PC xbox store or gamepass version. It isn't owned or published by microsoft so that doesn't include steam. [/quote]
Thank you, but I wasn't talking about steam, I don't know how that made you think I thought I owned it on steam, that's not what I meant or said. But i have since deleted the post just in case it violates steam discussion rules bc i'm sick of being banned/locked over minuscule things. I just wanted to let people know the difficulty present in trying to play it on NOT steam, so i was encouraging people to play it ON steam. and also...if they want to remote play they can add me. Thanks for the reply tho
Anytime I want to add my steam friends to play, it only shows my Xbox friends?
do anyone know a way where the game show my steam friends?
and yes my Xbox account is linked to steam, I'm currently playing the game on pc gamepass
By using Epic's networking, even though Epic doesn't even sell the game, you just kind of piggy back off Epic. It's pretty confusing but that's my takeaway.
