Button configuration changes?

Maybe I'm crazy, playing on a arcade stick so I'm trying to re-arrange my buttons. I don't see any options for that unless I'm missing it.

Do it from Steam. Go to where you hit "Play" for TMNT, click the settings gear, go to Manage and click Controller Layout. It changes button prompts in-game too.

This should be supported in-game. It's a shame. A very basic function not being present, there is no excuse.

It's strange. Someone said with a PS4 controller that option shows up in the game setting. But with my arcade stick that option disappears. I haven't tested with an Xbox controller if that shows up. Guess my arcade stick shows up as something funky and the game can't read it.

I can change mine, but every time I exit to windows and come back to the game, it's been reset to defaut. I have no idea how to save my preferences so I don't have to keep changing it every time. I'm playing using my pc keyboard because I prefer it for beat 'em ups
