Ooh, that does look really nice! I used 480x270 because that multiplied evenly into 1920x1080, so that's what worked for me. It might also be the game's internal res, but I'm not sure.
I use CRTLottes2 also, just with 480x270 as the res, with Levels and CA (Chromatic Aberration):

None of these retro games were ever designed for HD LCD displays which is why they look like pig feces on monitors. A cult of illiterate gamers convinced themselves that "Pixel Art" was a real thing when it actually was not and never owned a CRT TV
CRT TV had a unique ability to scale any image lossless to any size without losing any quality.
The only way to get these pixelated mess to look acceptable on a LCD monitor is through a shader known as CRT Royale which is the only shader that can emulate every aspect of a CRT TV
But to accomplish this you need a 4K 120hz Monitor or TV and a high end GPU as emulating everything on a CRT display is very complex.

I went with that weird res 'cause it was on a list of 16:9 resolutions.
i've tried a few and IMO that weird one looked the better LOL

Your shader is looking good too but I personally don't like how pronnounced the grid is on your setup.
It's their engine. Many games work absolutely perfectly fine with CRT shaders in 4K as a proved on my Aria comparison with a GBA game.
Their engine just does not work well with CRT shaders. Maybe they have 3D stuff in here IDK. The resolution is super large for some things with jaggies so large it is comical.
I still want a modern metroidvania Turtles game with great graphics.
Easy Mode and Lottes do a fine job when properly tuned. This art style is not going to change much though.
I feel like larger masks are the way to go here, as evidenced by the frutbunn post. That's starting to look really good but in my case without dilation.
There's no mind goblins at play.
If you believe old CRTs didn't blur games due to scanlines, interlacing, and low resolution then you are clearly suffering from a memory malfunction.
Just did this myself. Thanks for the res recommendation guys. It worked perfectly, and the game looks 100% better.

I can't seem to replicate the effects you got here. What settings are you using in easy mode?
