Also finish all unharmed challenges in story mode if you think games easy.
or you could use jump and dive attack to reduce the chances of anything hitting you
or you could just mash the attack button to stunlock the enemies
charge attacks can be interrupted, though granted only by the rat waves in the ratking fight. but charge attacks cannot be canceled except with a super, and only near the end of execution.
dive attacks one of the most unsafe attacks in the game, with most enemies punishing you for using it, especially as raph, who probably has the worst dive kick besides mikey.
taunting - special - taunting - special - taunting - special
I love it when I have players that are mostly trying to really handle the enemies and their patterns.
And it's satisfying to beat the meter to max and then light one if needed :P
shout out to ma man "Fear The Great" we played some amazing sessions
I am using the taunt just infront of a bossfight or in some instances were I know the next wave gonna be ruff without one. also it's a life saver sometimes just to light one before getting hit XD
You can already find multiple hosts who follow this idea, and so far those games were the best i had, even when we were wiped at first Shredder fight...
I'm aiming to beat full game without taunt and continues as a personal challange and i must say it gives it that NES difficulty. And you really must flex your combo skills pretty hard to keep that meter full for critical parts
Already done 1cc runs of splinter, leo and raph and I've also done a normal arcade gnarly run with don.
You really must find dedicated players who know what's going on to do it, because those who rely on taunt spam will do ok skipping waves, but during boss they'll drop dead like flies and it'll lock party in revive loop where noone hits the boss
