Is there a way to turn off these annoying tutorial notices?
At the beginning of each of the „Room“ games, i have to fight my urge to instantly close it and never come back. In each case, i am very glad that i persisted, but it still takes enormous mental effort. The reason are the overbearing „tutorial“ messages telling me to click this, then drag that, then click this.
„No, don't look there!“ the game says, „in fact, we have disabled your ability to look back; why won't you just CLICK. THE. THING! And then the other thing, and then you have to go there and click that.“ Being tugged through the beginning like a marionette by it's strings is really unpleasant and doesn't really get me into a puzzling spirit ...
I understand these message exist for people who have never used a computer before, but even they propably understand „Interact with things by clicking or dragging them“ after being told a few times, not after literally dozens of times.
And for the rest of us, why not simply let us turn off the „help“?

At this point in the series most players are well aware of the mechanics of the game, so I fully agree with an option to disable the tutorial.

It could also be offered in a way that is less forceful, much like the hints system.

Totally agree! It's too much! Just launched the game and after 1 minute I went to the options to see if I could turn off the tutorial only to find out that I couldn't.

This is a forum about games.

I'm in the group of I don't mind, if its a minor hassle for me and a major help to a new player, I don't mind.

That said, if there was a prompt at the start of the game that said New Player or Returning player, that would be welcome. Just a QoL thing really.
Maybe i'm crazy but when i started the game it gave me an option to turn it off.

Maybe they patched it? I Looked through the menus three times and scanned every popup for an option to say no to the rest of them.

Admittedly it's irritating to the point of actually hindering me by slowing me down in order to explain how to turn a screwdriver, or lift a latch.

It's a small matter in the long-run, but this is the fourth game in, so yeah, it does seem somewhat superfluous.

It even pops up late game. Remembering the train right now, but other places as well.
Annoying.

I hate to break it to you, but the train is NOT late game. It's not even close.

I already finished the game when I wrote that.
It surely is waaay past tutorial territory.

I mean, not really. The train is in the second room you open pretty much. It's so close to the start that you basically open the first three rooms within a few minutes of each other, at most.

gotta agree that the option to disable the tutorial for experienced players would be amazing, especially if you're replaying them one after the other

I feel you are missing the point. Stopping here.

I don't mind that much, it's easy to cruise through them.
