English or German?
What language was this game's dialogue originally written in?

Probably german, since the game designer is german.

I don't know, but I play it in German because of that. Really enjoyable

For now I have only played the demo, I wonder how the Schneiderbrett Pitt joke sounds in English. It's also possible that the author has written bits in German and bit in English, rather than having written everything in German and translated into English at a second time. It's my understaning that Christoph Schultz has personally made everything except of course the speech - even though his voice might be somewhere in the game, but not credited for the main characters. It would be cool to have his personal comment on this!

This is not necessarily true though.

The Leiterendi joke seems to be thought in German, or it would have been Ladderendi in English I think. The player can switch language at any time and see how things change from Ger to Eng.
The credits thank someone for "saving my butt for the translation", this sounds like it was indeed written in German and translated into English at a later date.

That sounds a lot more definitive. Thanks!

Yeah German.

@Aozora
I think his name derived from "Leitmotif" since he is a piano player. So not ladder.
