Arbites is really good, but you have to push thru the early stages until you get your talent picks to really make it shine.
Both are not worth the money if you just want them as a class (Arbitrator at least has a cool lore and some personalities are well made and he has a dog) but Arbitrator for sure is better than Hive Scum in general if you REALLY want to spend the money.

Hive Scum now is a glass cannon with evade spam and has ultra annoying personalities. Also Hive Scum simply has exclusive "dual wield" weapons and cannot simply pick 2 guns you can select in the inventory (as you might think).

i just want arbites for the dog but if i buy hivesum can they share their weapons with the other classes cause it be cool to dual wield as zealot and veteran

They cannot. Its exclusive to the class.

And yes, that would be awesome.

No. Hive Scum's weapons are exclusive to Hive Scum.

But yes: At least Vet should be able to dual wield. FS sadly says no.

The arbitrator is the most overpowered class in the game... meanwhile hive scum is one of if not the worst. I've seen and experienced the lone surviving arbitrator that carries the game, dude just cannot die. Crazy crowd control capability, anti carapace shock maul and infinite shock mines (portable pocket smite psyker that isn't crap) he is the one man army class.

Make sure to look at the marks of the Arbites Shotgun.

One is for crowds, the other lets you snipe further out.

Both are nice, but I like the sniping one.

I don't like calling people bad, but...

This is a low difficulty take. In higher difficulties, it's the exact opposite.

Arbite is extremely powerful in lower difficulties because the dog can get hounds & mutants off of you and he gets a lot of easy Toughness recovery with fair melee damage output. All of these things come together to make a class that bodies Damnation and even Auric like it's nothing. But when these same players hop into Havoc and maybe even an Auric Maelstrom, suddenly the tankiness isn't enough to ignore damage, and the damage becomes less incredible, leaving it fairly balanced.

Hive Scum's survivability is mobility based, and mobility is skill based. This means on higher difficulties with more skilled players, in the right hands, it's even considered down right OP. The mobility allows good players to stay alive through some ludicrous situations and the damage output allows him to carry the team's DPS too.

(Hive Scum's melee build, the one this guy's using has been BUFFED too since this video was released...)

If you like a 'riot cop' playstyle with various tools that can hold the line with stagger and solid melee damage, get Arbite.

If you like skill-based glass-cannon solo-monkey shenanigans, Hive Scum is currently the #1 choice.
I'll throw in my 2cents as I do own both the classes;

Arbites is probably the more favourable of the two, very tanky with options for crowd control, the dog is amazing and has some of the best AI I've seen and the Arbites has some build flexibility with where you go in the tree. However, the Arbites is slow and it has a limited selection of Melee weapons (only 7, compared to the Veteran who has 12), so if you are someone who likes going in melee and you dislike the Arbites selection of melee options then it might be a tough sell.

Hive Scum is the glass cannon of the game, very fast and it can output a ton of damage, but you are squishy. The custom stims you make is an interesting mechanic and you can tailor it to your build/ playstyle. Skill Tree wise the Hive Scum feels more rigid than Arbites, there's a clear feel/ way to go depending on playstyle, left part of the tree is ranged, middle part is melee, and right part is more support/ chem damage. Again a major downside is that this class is very very squishy, and you become forced to adopt the dodge spam playstyle, so if you don't like that then it's a tough sell.

Weapons wise, both the classes unique options feel very great to use. Arbites gets 7 Melee options and 11 Ranged options (not counting different marks), and the Hive Scum gets 10 Melee options and 11 Ranged options (not counting different marks).

All in all, I'd say it depends on what you are looking for, if you enjoy a slower, but tanky crowd control playstyle then go Arbites. If you enjoy a far more mobile high octane, but squishy playstyle then go Hive Scum. Both are fun and unique enough to help them stand out when compared to the 4 base classes.

In agreement, Hive Scum in the right hands trivializes every aspect of the game. Have been in a game with 2 Hive Scum we could just walk round enjoying a café on the boardwalk & took in a show.
Arbites is a jack of all trades having all 3 of the best range, melee and tankiness of the 3 main roles that it can hold its own against anything you can throw at it except it still gets outshined by overspecialized min max builds out there. Very beginner friendly.

Hivescum let's just say you need in depth knowledge on the game's movement mechanic as well as enemy weakpoints and memorized attack patterns so you know how to dodge counter your way out. This class plays hyper aggressive and rewards being swift and deadly accurate at weakspots. Do be warned however this class isn't very beginner friendly and will not hold your hand or even have a safety net unlike the other classes. Also has little access to ranged AP so best prepared to be good at melee against carapace units in high difficulty unless you wanna have a bad time with this class.
