Psyker Force Staffs.
Someone at Fatshark mains Voidstrike don't they? It is so much better then the other staffs. Am I missing something? I don't play my psyker as much as my other characters and I only just got my fire staff build finished. So I decided to try out the other staffs and wow. Not even remotely balanced are they?

Trauma > Voidstrike. Sure Voidstrike is easy to use and looks powerful, but the tactical value and damage of the Trauma staff is far superior.

Void is ok, but for me flame staff is the goat imo, you can indiscriminately melt whole rooms of ragers and chaff with your m2, and stunlock small groups of anything that isn't an ogryn or a monstrosity with your m1 while you close the distance. I love it.

Purgatus and Trauma are still valid, you just need to build them properly and know what you're aiming for. Surge is in a strange place until they fix it up but was okay without bugs.

It's funny cause I swore off Trauma staff long before the skill tree rework. After the rework I picked up one with Rending Shockwave and Warp Flurry and it's probably my current favorite. Does really good work knocking around entire groups of Ragers/Maulers/Crushers/Bulwarks while applying Brittleness to them, and also general horde softening/clearing. Plus a good way to disable any stray enemies bothering teammates.

After test them all Voidstrike is still at the top, the aoe value of trauma is not far behind but has a sharp drop off in damage outside the marker on the ground. I can't get purgatus to be 'amazing' like everybody says it is, sure 15 stacks of soulblaze is nice but by the time you build them up a voidstrike or trauma could kill the enemy, so it's really only CC for lighter/ no armour or boss damage. Surge got hit hard from fixing the bug with empowered psionics and doing limb damage now kinda sucks. That's my 2 cents.

I think all the staves are solid. They all do good damage and differentiate themselves from each other.

Purgatus melts almost everything but has limited range.
Surge stuns its target but is weak against hordes. (ignoring the fact that it's bugged)
Trauma has great stagger and control but is awkward to aim.
Voidstrike is a great all-rounder and (I find) easier to use.

How do you build for trauma? Blessings? I tried having a go at it but it felt like I was being more nuisance than help, knocking everything around.

The Voidstrike is also the only staff that actually requires you to aim its secondary. Everything else you just wave in the general direction of problems.

Good comment.
But the the surge staff isnt bugged anymore. Did 2-3 games today and it works fine. I play it with warp siphon.

I played 3 games with surge staff today. Guess the weird bug is fixed. With warp siphon it works very well.

I was having the bug in the Psykanium myself, but I haven't brave enough to try it in an actual mission after that. If it actually does work then cool, otherwise I'll wait it out.

It's fine really. Just try it. Good dmg and cc.

lol no

This hasn't been a thing since the "class update" and with +crit and +soulfire the voidstrike doesn't have a competitor, period.
