The Achlys stubber buff feels good
Achlys Mk VII Twin-Linked Heavy Stubber: decreased time to fire first shot from 0.22s to 0s, improved deploy speed, reload speed, movement speed while firing, tighter spread while braced, even tighter spread while braced + crouched.

Yeah it got some excellent changes, not sure why the Krourk stubber couldn't get a little love like that too tho.
Yeah Krourk needed the love more, but this is a nice buff for Achlys. The hipfire is even better with that zippy firing movement speed.

because they'll probably adjust it differently so all the stubbers perform in their own way and are not done yet

Out of curiosity, what would you change about the Krourk to make it good and UNIQUE compared to the other two?

Yes the improvements made it usable now, but the damage it does still limits that usefulness to heresy or below.

the fire rate is double that of the gorgonum which has about double the dmg, meaning the dps is really about the same

The Achlys never had bad DPS, just a spread that didn't let the DPS come to fruit unless enemies were touching the tip of the barrel.

Now it's a perfectly viable competitor to Gorgonum. The Gorgonum is a slow turret that mows away even Flak, but the Achlys is speedy, feeds a ton of ammo in the chamber with Charmed Reload, and still the king of applying burn stacks with Light 'em Up.

This is exactly how I wanted these two weapons to turn out. Unique strengths.

Oh I'm sure it's great with PBB, but that would mean bringing PBB into a damnation match instead of Bull's Rush or Taunt and that's the last thing an Ogryn should do.

A lot of Ogryns still do, I know because I rescue them all the time.

Sounds like skill issues, no problems here or the folks I follow for builds.

I was sure you were gonna say PBB is too strong and should be left at home at the end of that sentence, but instead you think it's weak? What on earth?

I'll regularly pair the Achlys with the Shield too (been doing so since buff to Roaring Advance). The Shield isn't a great specialist killer, but the Achlys is, and draws quickly when you're knee-deep in heretics.

I carry damnation and aurics all the time with PBB. I rarely see another PBB Ogryn tho. They are rarer than Agitator Zelots.

I see them often enough in Quickplay, but I don't play it that often myself for two reasons:

1) If I get a teammate who wastes ammo, it reduces my performance.
2) Light 'em Up is OP.

This heavy stubber is a lot more fun to play now. I never took it before, but find myself wanting to take it now.

Is it much better for taking out ranged specials now?
