Now it's a perfectly viable competitor to Gorgonum. The Gorgonum is a slow turret that mows away even Flak, but the Achlys is speedy, feeds a ton of ammo in the chamber with Charmed Reload, and still the king of applying burn stacks with Light 'em Up.
This is exactly how I wanted these two weapons to turn out. Unique strengths.

Oh I'm sure it's great with PBB, but that would mean bringing PBB into a damnation match instead of Bull's Rush or Taunt and that's the last thing an Ogryn should do.
A lot of Ogryns still do, I know because I rescue them all the time.
I'll regularly pair the Achlys with the Shield too (been doing so since buff to Roaring Advance). The Shield isn't a great specialist killer, but the Achlys is, and draws quickly when you're knee-deep in heretics.
I carry damnation and aurics all the time with PBB. I rarely see another PBB Ogryn tho. They are rarer than Agitator Zelots.
1) If I get a teammate who wastes ammo, it reduces my performance.
2) Light 'em Up is OP.
