Wtf is impact?
Developers, I am playing as an Ogryn and I have access to a passive talent called Slam; This passive talent supposedly gives you a +25% impact bonus on melee attacks.

The only problem is nothing in any of the menus or weapons stats says anything about impact. So, what is my base impact level on an Ogryn? Better yet... Wtf is impact? What is the stat's purpose? How does it effect my melee? Why isn't any of this information clearly given to the player so they can make an informed decision rather than the player having to surf forums like this or check some random wiki website to find the answer?

Impact is the Darktide term for stagger. Stupidly some blessings still refer to Stagger anyway.

on PC
(V) Inspect your weapon, go to (E) view attack breakdowns
The stat in blue/ lightning is the stagger number... higher better - no idea the exact numerical breakdown per target

That is... Incredibly dumb. Thank you for clearing that up.

So, what is the base stagger percentage for an Ogryn in Melee?

impact is what it's called when you're inflicting it, stagger is what it's called when you're recieving it, so impact is stagger but it's also causing stagger. very confusing but fatshark likes their stats hard to read.

Impact = stagger = stunning/knocking over enemies.

Basically think of it as dark souls 1/2’s poise system. Each enemy has a stagger bar that when filled causes them to either stagger or be knocked over and each weapon deals different amounts of stagger damage.

When you inspect a weapon's damage breakdown the blue number is the base stagger.
