During the 2023 Skulls event we actually had an in-game event in Darktide with two new maps and a new boss enemy added, so it would be sweet to get new content this year too.
But if the next update is taking more time to cook due to its size, I'll settle just for news too.
Crafting / loot rework
UI rework (not fun to get through 14 menu for everything)
Tbh, people often exaggerate the menu issue like this. Going to penances for example just requires you to press ESC and then clicking on Penances.
That a specific penance you are looking for from the list of penances requires some browsing, can't really be changed.
They're divided into sections because there are so many of them, and a lot more are very likely to get added over time. If they were all on the same page to reduce the amount of pages, you'd have to scroll through hundreds of penances to find the one you want.
Ratlings as a playable class, with lad and lady options! XD
What I’m expecting:
Reworking the crafting system… again.
Maybe they’ll surprise use with some story content and additional missions, but I’m not expecting it.
lol, I sure wish they’d announce they’re eliminating the FOMO in the cash shop. :P
Crafting rework is already coming this year, it's confirmed.
Ratlings unfortunately do not have the range of classes the game would require of them. A mechanicus adept is a more likely fifth character type, at some point.
as we have fewer and fewer left it would be nice to have them in list without having to go to different pages, etc
That's still better than shaking and crying, which is how many people seem to react here when Fatshark does anything at all.
lol, for what it's worth. Despite my gripes over the Cash Shops's FOMO (and about a dozen other things that drive me nuts about this game. . . I'm looking at YOU penances), this game is easily worth the price tag.
When it comes to team shooters, you can't do much better than this game; for all it's quirks, it's still a TON of fun. :)
lol, a mechanicus adept probably has more versatility, but Ratlings would be way more interesting! XD
I bet they could figure out different classes. At face value I feel Ogryns would also have initially appeared to have no options.
