Best way to farm Plasteel?
Over 250h played, I've ran out of plasteel, while having lots of diamantine.
I play many chars and have spent alot. I see higher difficulties granting more materials but also people exploring less, so idk whats better.

Mortis trials is not the way, that I know XD

Heresy.

But if you are a skilled player Auirc is just fine.

You can also play low Havoc difficulties and just pick up the weekly case at the end for a bonus.

But for the simple farm and will give you fastest and easiest time.

No better place than Heresy.

Can also do Damnation, but for speed Heresy is it.

If you want Dockets and Diamanteen then any of the 3 are great.

Heresy, Damnation, and Auric.

It just depends in your build, skill, and how quickly you want your farm.

For most people it is Heresy, but for others you can go higher.

Low Havoc can work, but can be hard to find and get consistent matches.
But 1-15 would be best, but again depending on skill you can go a bit higher.
i agree, heresy, fast enough but resources aint scarce neither.

also simply, if you re lv30, just destroy the weapons with bad stats. like non 4x80 1x60 gear. the ones you ll never use. non-build gear.

dont forget to destroy heretical idols, but dont bother actively searching them, just if you see green glow, shoot it. lil bit boost per mission.

but more than anything play play play, it ll be hoarded over time. i got 300k plasteel and 80k diamantine which i cant use for anything else anymore. not struting, just saying how game actually rains materials.
you can do the weekles , take the rondoms suprise weapons and sell them
Every weapon you arent using, discard them and get a portion of their worth returned for you. It nets you alot of coin and resources after a little bit.
Havoc 40 weekly clear is probably the single best resource income for time investment ratio. I know it's an unpopular challenge, but it is a thing.
For me, Mortis Trials give buttloads.

? mortis trials give like 150ish per run
I have no clue how people are hurting for plasteel, I did back before the crafting rework but these days it's always diamantine I'm always short of (which was the exact OPPOSITE of how I used to be).

Emergency Snacks is on the money, these are the numbers for a single havoc 40 clear at the end of the week:

137,400 Coins
23,200 Diamantine
35,100 Plasteel
As other said, basically Havoc or any difficulties above malice as the number of plasteel spawn goes up along the difficulties

I will add you have two ways of "farming" plasteel outside of difficulty levels :

1) spam the "rolling steel" mission, aka the first mission/operation of the "second campaign" or "the train mission" if you prefer, can be done in 10 min or less (depends of group skills and chemistry), roughly 100 ish plasteel per run, more depending of difficulty and loot spawns algorithm, also get fast gold and weapon mastery points too

2) Do a mission long enough to have many drops during the run (like archivum sycorax, collecting everything i've found plus the quickplay bonus, got around 1K of plasteel thanks to loot spawns and heretic idols)
WITH ALSO the easiest heretic idols to find, on malice/heresy/auric its +30/40/50 plasteel per idol, so easily +120/160/200 plasteel along the usuals loot spawns
Youre going to have a rougher time because some people are maxed out, or have so much on hand they dont even bother collecting it.

Discard weapons to get some cash and mats back and just keep picking up everything you come across.
Just play the twins mission. The room before the twins boss fight is completely full of materials. Ideally play it on auric to maximize the amount you get. Doesn't matter if your team doesn't pick up materials since all the materials are just there and you can grab them.
Aurics and Maelstorms for credits.
Damnation with quickplay for materials and credits.
Scraping weapons give some credits amd materials.
If you have cotracts curency coleting dust, you can mass buy curios and scrap them, this way you get some cedits and have chance to get curios with maxed main stat.
You try to ignore it and play the game, its sucks while leveling and trying to max out every weapon / stat but eventually your drowning in the stuff.
