Deadshot perk for Veteran
Vet players, what are your thoughts on the Deadshot talent? Do you think it's worth picking it given that it only gives you +25% Crit chance until your stamina runs out (and depending on the guns you use, it runs out very quickly)?

I don't main Vet but I took it off. I tried it at first thinking it would be really good, but stamina is too important to me, especially on a Vet. I find with all the other good talents Vet has that guns can get by just fine without it.

Personally I just take it off because the stamina drain is insanely quick with it.

Yeah it just wasn't worth it at all. Maybe there is a quality build out there that uses it, but I can't imagine how. Being able to block and push is really important, trading stamina for some crit just seems like a bad trade.

Looks nice on paper, but in reality you get very little out of it because it drains your stamina so quickly. I don't use it.

So weird you posted this. I just quite literally changed my whole playstyle last night to play around the Deadshot perk

It TOTALLY depends on which weapon you are going to use IMO. I am using Accatran Heavy Laspistol. The extra crit chance basically means I'm Critting every shot when I Aim. With Level 4 Infernus I'm killing things super fast. I love the mobility of the Laspistol and I love the aim reticle. It is super accurate even just hip-firing so I can hip-fire when I need to so I won't drain stamina then if there is something I really need to kill fast (like a Reaper) then I can Aim down and get that sweet Crit chance to decimate them in a few shots

I'm loving it so far. Played around 10 games using Deadshot. But it entirely depends on which gun you want to use for it.

Not trying to sound like an elitist, but out of curiosity, what difficulty do you use it on? And what blessings? I am assuming infernus and something else?

Heresy/Damnation.
I don't play Auric Maelstrom
Infernus + Dum Dum but Infernus is really the only blessing you need then 5% Crit chance perk

I don't double the damage is great on it, I just can't see myself using it in auric damnation, maybe normal damnation. My vet already feels slow and clunky enough haha. I am used to zealots stamina.

it not worth it due to the waste, if you wnat a Crit Chance then go surgical on your weapon, Boltgun, Revlover and Hellbore are all good.

I stick to the right and middle side of the vet tree, and I don't use Deadshot. I've tried a few times, sacrificing some talent points to get some of these perks, but ultimately I don't find that much use for it, over other perks. I favor my hip fire on my guns in my playstyle as vet, and the aimed fire does more than enough anyway without this talent.

That's a pretty interesting, since I also appreciate the laspistol very much. Is it the old or the new laspistol you use and have you considered other fast lasweapons with this setup in mind like the mk IV infantry lasgun and the recon lasguns?

Deadshot on a Revolver running +3 stamina means you'll rarely run out of stamina from shooting alone. Also the effect doesn't seem to work at 0 stamina.

Reminder you are using stamina for aiming AND shooting meaning on a Columnus you are bricking yourself after one burst.

The weapons who could need it dont need it and the weapons who dont need it wont ever get something out of it.
