Mk V Force Sword with Blazing Spirit & Bloodthirsty

So after spending a small fortune I finally crafted a sword like this after hearing it's really good, but it seems really lackluster and if you land a killing blow on something it doesn't even proc blazing spirit so it's finicky to even use.

Am I missing something? I can clear a lot faster with a Slaughterer Mk V Force Sword.

Yes, it was nerfed. It use to be meta. But for horde clearing slaughterer is the way to go now.

Scrapped it for the blessing and put it on a stabby Mk IV Force Sword, crits don't apply to the special attack damage so it doesn't even do anything on that sword either lol.

Honestly the psyker weapons just feel like trash. The psyker seems to work better if you don't actually use psyker weapons which kinda seems to be missing the point. Don't bother with force staffs just get a bolter. Unless you really wanna do nothing other than support your team by stunning things. That's pretty much the only place I have seen psykers do better than other classes.

Why? Your dps staff is meant to be the void staff. Its good for firing into hordes of trash mobs but a flamer does the job much better for clearing mobs. In terms of DPS it takes 2 to 3 charged head shots to kill an elite. A vet with a bolter can do it in 1. Your surge staff does amazingly at CC since it can pretty much stun any elite.
With the force weapons your basically have a power sword with way less damage in exchange for been able to block bullets. You can't block many of them of them though unless you spec that sword for just that.
Brain Burst is kinda cool but it's only really useful against heavy armour targets like maulers and crushers. It doesn't prioritise elites over mobs so if a elite is in a crowd of mobs, a pretty normal event, its a mission to get it to target them.
You can target and then duck round a corner or charge and then go round the corner but in the time you have taken to do that, unless it's heavily armoured, another class can have murdered the target and probably two to boot.
Your toughness regen options are the worst of all the classes.

I'm sorry but your post contains numerous falsehoods and half-truths. You either do not play Psyker successfully in T5 or you have no real experience with the class and are just parroting things you have read and heard from others.

Trauma staff has such a huge damage potential guys, I won't tell you the formulae I use to rack up the damage, especially at the scoreboard when the match ends. The best point about trauma staff is that, it also staggers EVERYTHING other than bosses, and by stagger I mean the hard stagger. Crushers and Bulwarks fall down like old alcoholic guys. Damagewise, you will be doing 400-600 k on high intensity T5 with staggering everything. Trauma staff even hits monstroties ( especially Beast of Nurgle ) like a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Just try to make a build around that staff, you will enjoy psyker more :) Btw keep the fast BB 30 skill, it helps to kill pesy stuff from afar.

Psyker’s weapons are incredible, ESPECIALLY the new force swords. A psyker can make a lot of t4 runs super easy for the team if they knew what to do, and it doesn’t take rocket science to use your weapons and abilities properly.

I’m not going to resort to saying such a weak, degenerate phrase like “skill issue” as the youth are... unfortunately throwing around like sprinkles on a cake these days... but to me it sounds like you’re not utilizing their kit properly to say such things.

People use BB wrong still. If you have 6 stacks you can one shot ragers on damnation. Always one hits shotgunner, gunner, trapper and bomber. Those are your picks. Sniper you can kill with staff bolts easier (2 hits if you headshot 3 normally) and you drop his aim with one hit.

Psyker's real problem is getting toughness back, especially as last alive. Double if you have no staff. But the power, no ammo and CC are extreme.

Shred with Blazing Spirit is kinda cool on force swords if your main goal is to apply that soulblaze proc.
