AMD Hardware performance ISSUES.
What is the matter with this game, the performance is horrible.
When I open my inventory it stutters and takes ages for everything to load in.
Every menu I open stutters.
In combat I'm at 25FPS LOWS and around 60FPS highs.
I have tried putting everything on medium and have FSR 3.1 at balanced but its still a horrible mess.

I have:
CPU: Ryzen 7 9800X3D
GPU: RX 9070XT
RAM: 64GB 6000mhz
M.2: 2x gen 5 1TB
Monitor: 1440P
My Rig should not be the problem, so either the game is still a unoptimized mess, or AMD is dropping dogShieite drivers.

the game has optimisation issues fo sure yes you need to find a balance, i get between 50-80 fps typically & then i use frame gen, 50 is also about minimum, 120 is about maximum, max settings + RT - i disabled SMT in Darktide and the game reserves 2 cores so i put Worker Threads to 6 (8c/16t cpu)

system monitoring software can cause issues

There are few tweaks you can try (search Fatshark forums) or you can try this driver version: 23.11.1.
Otherwise there is not much you can do, not really sure if the problem is with AMD drivers or game.
CPU: Ryzen 7 9800X3D
GPU: RTX 4080 Super
RAM: 32GB 6000mhz
Monitor: 1080p

I have around 260 fps on the Mourning Star, and 160 fps lows (130fps 0,1% superlows) and 230 fps highs in the game. At average im around 180-200 fps usually.
Dont knows whats happening on your end bro;
Have you made sure that the ReBAR in your Motherboard is ON and that the amd3dvcacheSvc Service is actually running, and that the windows Game Bar (win button+G for the overlay) is active so you can get all the performance out of your 9800x3d processor?

Maybe its just still ♥♥♥♥♥♥ drivers for your graphics card man, I dunno

i guess you have default launcher scanned settings and dlss + x2 frame gen - cpu's max at about 120-150fps in this game

This Driver Version 23.11.1 does not support 9070XT,

What operating system are you using? I could not notice any stuttering or performance loss with the latest Windows 10 version, under Linux Debian Unstable/trixie I also have no problems with my 9070XT all maxed out, FPS are between 140 and 230FPS with framegen, with Windows 11 24H2 version I only have problems, here is another video with 9070XT under Windows 11 23h2:

Windows 11 24H2 version also has problems/bugs with Autodesk, Stingray Darktide Engine comes from Autodesk if I'm not mistaken, remains to be seen until AMD 25.4.1 comes out or is patched on Windows, could also be fixed by Fatshark, who knows. Sry me ENGLISH

I dont even know what you mean with default launche scan settings since I have never used that ♥♥♥♥. DLSS is on on Quality with 2x frame gen yes and worker Threads are set at 13 which isnt the max.
If you want me to disclose all of my Graphics Settings I will gladly do that to fix up any confusion. But I doubt that would help OP with his AMD GPU would it?

yeah all you can do is try to lower settings that use a lot of CPU, but there's nothing you can do for the laggy menus like when opening up the shop, etc. Fatshark needs to fix it.
Only time things like menus lagged and took a while to load in was when my SSD was going out.

Never buy cheap "Fanxiang" brand SSD.

okay, something else about storage drives is if you stick to 1 brand then you usually get free drive cloning software, so for making windows back-ups or migration, etc - because cloning software is quite expensive and their licenses are limited to like 1 PC (i.e 1 motherboard) & 1 Year for like 50 bucks

I had 30-50 fps (came back like a week ago). With FSR"performance" I have like 120-144 fps.

Well, for me with (7800xt) I can see the difference in drivers. WIth 23.11.1 I can run game on high/custom settings (4k) with vsync enabled and FSR3.1 on Quality, FPS rarely drops under 60 fps. With any other drivers fps is jumping from 45-60fps.

There is also this slow texture loading in Inventory - cosmetics, that goes away with 23.11.1 driver.
But seems that Fatshark doesn't care much about AMD performance in Darktide.

They don't care much about their Games as a whole lol
Game runs comically abysmal on my 9070 XT + 5800X3D system. Nothing I change affects the performance positively. The Mourningstar shooting into the low 60s, empty combat arenas lucky to hit the 90s. I should absolutely not be needing to use frame-gen to get perceptual "good performance." Better yet, I can't even get FSR4 to work. Updating the FSR dll also doesn't do a damn thing.

Meanwhile my friends on 3080s since launch on Superultrawide, getting over double my performance. Garbage. This game was optimised only for team green.

Usually I can run at or above my refresh rate 144hz , but there are still abysmal performance drops. And this is by no means consistent.

From my experience, the game is not well made in this regard.

It seems like the vast majority of posters here have far better hardware, yet worse performance. I would attribute this to their configuration.

OS: Linux Mint 22 x86_64
Kernel: 6.8.0-55-generic
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5500 (12) @ 4.267GH
GPU: AMD ATI Radeon RX 6600/6600 XT/
Memory: 6852MiB / 31955MiB

My performance was not great when using an nvidia card 1060 and proprietary drivers, pretty similar to complaints above.
Got a little bit better once running the RX 6600, with the standard mesa drivers
Best performance yet however is with the kisak-mesa backports
