LMB is useful for taking out enemies from range.
Thanks for the tutorial.
Except that staff is bad for everything. The explosion radius, damage falloff and charge speed for secondary is pathetic so it's bad for horde clear, stagger is worse than just using electric staff instead, damage is laughable so it's bad for single targets too. I'ts not Vermintide where magic can hurt other players so the "no friendly fire from explosion" in close quarters isn't even advantage anymore.
i'ts just ♥♥♥♥ staff all around.
I see possibility to use it as no ammo gun. Same work electro also.
Sourge, warp nexus blessings, spam LMB to kill shooters. Crit LMB shots has great stagger and suppress.
RMB may be nice to clear horde and do some stun and impact into heavy tragets like reapers, crushers, packs of elites. Crit RMB can stun mosnters also.
As this guy said: Massive amounts of AOE. You can destroy whole hordes easily and stagger even bulwarks and the likes. The staff might actually be the best staff after purge staff. Mind you that this is my personal opinion. The general view, however, is that this staff is really strong.
Actually the radius of the explosion is sizeable when you consider the fact that Psyker's have very little AoE attacks and it spreads soulblaze to help with horde clearing.
Stagger is way better than electro staff, electro only briefly staggers whereas void knocks them over entirely.
It's definitely not the strongest staff in terms of straight up damage, but it has a ton of utility. Pairing it with Brain Burst means you have a good ranged option for damage vs. single targets anyway.
it's good because stagger is good. especially in high havoc. in particular for the melee variant.
Once you get the hang of it you'll find it is incredibly strong, but it doesn't feel so great on lower difficulty. You get more value from it on the highest intensity missions with super dense mixed hordes.
Biggest thing too remember with all staves is that you can still dodge and slide while charging. Sprint, slide, charge while sliding, and blast those gunners as soon as you stand up. Works wonders on suppression. Bubble shield also makes for interesting times.
It is literally the strongest Staff in the game
that's why they changed it
Primary fire I think is the same as the Voidstrike, which is pretty useful for near and far enemies and can be used on dogs or pushing/exploding bursters or even taking out snipers from quite a distance. Spam at chest to slow/stun them and then move up slightly to hit the head and you will kill smaller enemies fairly quick.
