Also, not every reward can be obtained by anyone. Sometimes it is what it is.
Touch grass.
As frustrating as it may be, this is a 4 player co-op game. Trusting in the competency of randoms is a quick way to become frustrated when going for penances like True Survivor, you need a proper team.
Seems to me that owing to the increased difficulty, if you get downed it's likely going to cause a run failure anyway. You basically can't make mistakes on the higher diffs, right? So if you're knocking out a 35+ run, do you not almost get it by default?
Plus it's a one and done, rather than Survivors' 5 streak which had a lot more rng variables (namely team mates, although avoided with a pre-made I guess).
If poeple die instantly and not getting downed ( full corruption ) you will still unlock the penance.
FS has had the same issue with just about every Penance with dead/downed requirements since they're probably coded to check for player states in a set order which means that dying without getting downed skips the player state as far as the checklist is concerned.
Also True Survivor is meant to be one of the hardest challenges in a team oriented game favouring pre made groups. It is frustrating and even disheartening at times; it's perfectly doable on random groups though.
I did it with a random group and it just took a couple of times (we did it on map 38). It requires proper builds and coordination. Also some skill by all four. I think it's the only challenge that noone can be carried to acquire.
And it's fine...
It's a team game at it's core. There is no solo mode. You're just being childish, nothing really constructive.
It is really annoying to do with randoms for sure. That I do get, hence being selective and communicating. Otherwise you're just being shallow imo.
