Havent played in a while. What does Weapon Mastery do? More Dmg?

Yep cept now you can have more God rolls. You can evolve weapons further.

Basically you can level up your weapon and at the bottom it shows you each level what you get. It's either points to put into blessing unlocks, or it will unlock higher power where you can upgrade the stats of the weapon to. Each stat now has a max so it will say 40/80 or something meaning and your power is like 250. When you unlock 300, 400, 500 it will let you upgrade the actual stats up to the max eventually. It also unlocks the perk levels and then you can similarly just pick any blessing/perk to replace and make exactly the weapon you want, as long as it has the right max stat values to begin with.

The weapons evolve with every mastery level unlocked. Your base weapon is trash and when you play with it or you offering same weapons at Hadron you can upgrade it to become better and more powerful. It's actually easy but it took me a little too to understand all aspects. My advise: If you have enough ressources just offer same weapons to Hadron, before just upgrade them once till they are green and then offer them. Will save you time and nerves. Playing with trash weapons is annoying on higher difficulties...
