Inquisition Classes?
I thought for the bar, adding a new intro cutscene for certain new classes.

Yes it'd be additional work, but imagine a Sororitas or a Deathwatch Space Marine being brought in on a Transport Ship in the middle of a battle zone for the tutorial.

It would also add a lot of venues for weapons, abilities, and COSMETICS. Yes, a word that many find repulsive, but it would be cool to see inquisition classes on a ship of inquisitors. and even an actual inquisitor class.

Given, balancing would hit kind of a slope, but it would allow for more variety in enemies, perhaps harder hitting ones, and it would probably add a new dynamic of fun.

Any other kind of class would be just as interesting to see, such as Ratlings, Commandos, or other kinds of things. This discussion is open ended to express interest or options on new classes or additions.

Changing the tutorial to bring Space Marines in is unlikely. Apparently FS said there will be no Space Marines in Darktide. Idk how inclusive or broad that statement is, but we're likely not going to see any outside of maybe some dialogue referencing them. For now anyway.

For the rest, maybe but again unlikely. The theme is a bunch of nameless convicts earning their keep and becoming reliable assets, so idk how an inquisitor class can fit without some major changes to the narrative.

exept that Sororitas are not Part of the Inquistion, they are only fanataic chicks and work in army squads (pronouncing "Squads") .
same for deathwatch or (or any SM in that regard) if you got you wrong ideas from "Space Marine" canel it pronto, its not normal for an SM to act alone. Death Watch work for the Inquistion, but they are still from other SM Chapters with there own rules, and the first rule of all SM chapters (exept maybe Grey Knights) : Primarch First, and only after that the Emperor., something the Inquistion only stomaches because they dont want to break a fight with the chapters..
not to mentation most chapters work together with the inquistion, but keep that at a work distance, because they dont want the inquistion to sniff into there special customs and secrets, as long it isnt Smurf Marines or a Chapter that followed there Streamline Guidelines by the book.

Sororitas have worked with the inquisition though on multiple occasions, so I just suggested out of thought.

Fair enough, and I didn't mean changing the current intro, just adding a new one that was class based. So 2 intros, 1 that was for the Criminals, and the other for actual Inquisition soldier/etc.

And that's why it'll never get implemented. Might cut into vacation time.

Btw deathwatch is the chamber militant of the ordo xenos, while Grendel, the inquisitor our player characters are working for, is ordo hereticus. That said, a sororitas npc or two might very well be on the way in some form, but I wouldn't hold my breath for battle sister player characters - that fiction niche is already well covered by the zealot.

In fact, if you look at the alcove opposite melk's, there's what appears to be some kind of sororitas NPC sorting scrolls of some description.

That's slightly better but then you have the weird issue of gear and level progression. Outside of the awkward fact you'll have Lvl 1 Inquisitors running around performing at the same level as a lowlife convict, most cosmetics play into the convict theme early level. I can already see the backlash if an Inquisitor class gets tons of cool cosmetics right off the bat when everyone else can barely get a decent set of armor or hat even now.

Plus all cutscenes and dialogue between crew members treats the character as a waste of space for 2/3 of leveling. So not only would new tutorials need to be made, but essentially tons of dialogue and class specific cutscenes as well. Not only is that A LOT of work just for one class, but FS is notoriously slow at doing anything. So idk if this is possible with FS' level of competency.

Inqustion can summon SM chapters they have their own private one called red hunters, condemn planets to exterminatus and any and all reascoures apart from golden Bannanna and Ad-mech to some extend , they work indepentantly and run agents, if they wanted to they could just be done and over with this, it doesn't fit the game at all, Deathwatch are a Counter Xenos force Primarially, Sister of Battle are too powerful to be used in a game about the guard experience. think before you type your response. i assume you have a basic understanding of 40k lore, if read lexicum and look up deathwatch look up sister of battle and then look up inquistion. the purpose of this game is the guard, no SOBS, not deathwatch nor playing as the inquistors. it doesn't work for the game they advertised nor they have set up.

they have power armour, it generally speaking there about 10x time power level of a Guardsman. while yes they work with the inqustion they are they are being used for here, were rejects and penal legionaries. they have taken a leaf from grav thorpes Last chancer novel who took it from Dirty dozen.

Not quite true but I think I get what you mean, that it's about regular humans at the bottom of the fighting power ladder.

While battle sisters do their own thing to a great extent, arguably more so than the grey knights or deathwatch, they are also frequently called to serve as the chamber militant of the ordo hereticus. So a sororitas appearance would be appropriate here... just not as a player character so much.
