What is up with the character creator?

The character creator is HORRRRRRIBLE!!! The choices are absolute GARBAGE! 15 hair styles and 30 faces and I joined a round where all 4 of us (female characters) had the same faces and hairstyles... it was the best we had to work with and it showed some(a lot!) gamers don't want butt f-ugle characters. I get it... WH 40k, the grim darkness. Great! -- I got it you buddy! That doesn't mean every women needs to look like the as--end of a frog's behind with a spell of diarrhea.

The customization options are fine. You don't need Baldur's Gate tier of pure-handsomeness or pretty for characters.

And anyway the faces aren't even that terrible, unless you're an ogryn.

I swear to god all these people saying "Its 40k everyone is ugly" has never seen character art for 40k, 95% of it is conventionally attractive men and women who are in good shape, i would go so far as to say most of the Militarum men look like a chad meme.

Ugly women - pardon, I meant to say body type B - are becoming the default in video games, unfortunately. And there appears to be a surprising amount of gamers who are fine with it.
