Ogryn's weapons discussion
Well there has been so far which ppl will be surprised by what the ogryn melee weapon that the player could of wielded so listing maybe a bunch but not in game

- Power Glave ( https://www.reddit.com/r/Warhammer40k/comments/wocrt1/ogryn_weilding_a_power_glave_from_a_feudal_world/?rdt=44535 )

- Power Axe ( https://www.reddit.com/r/Warhammer40k/comments/impb5k/wip_horus_heresy_power_armored_ogryn/ )

- Power fist/claws

This been has repeated here and there but the Glave is a new one to me for I never seen nor heard such a weapon existed until now doing my small time quick research. So what you think, should the dev give us power glave, fist or axe 1st? I mean lots ppl been waiting for new weapons for the ogryn get a special spunky weapon.

You do realize you are posting kitbashes/non-GW models right?

As much as that'd be cool, doubt that'l happen

Be happy with some knuckle dusters
I just want (more) 2 handed weapons for every class.

Not a whole lot of canon Ogryn weaponry I can find that seems to fit the hive city setting. Like, an Ogryn carrying an autocannon would be clipping through every wall and doorframe it came across.

and does the company still gain money from other company sell their brand or not if they do that means either it is partly a part of WH40k one way or another but as again it doesn't make sense if the ogryn use less weapons which I prefer to see an ogryn with more weapons instead of blunty blunt all the time which annoys me that how many ogryn keep on leaving possum enemies who look like they died because they don't know they are using cc more then just area sweep kill like a sword or glave. It is a fact and truth about it and it would make logical sense that ogryn should or may have able get some fancy tech like the power fist and more, it isn't like space marine didn't lost their weapons and got killed between the battlefield for more likely they been looted also say so current codex we looting from the dead fallen. This means that an ogryn has "what the odds" chance finding a power axe or finding cool ass power glave for the Imperial did try invent new weapons.

As again, ogryn should show they can carry space marine weapons due of the codex by lore the ogryn did wore improvised space marine armor that means they did wield some space marine's weapons are and aren't improvised weapons during the one those age.

1. Ogryn have never worn "improvised space marine armor", they get a very simplistic carapace armor in most cases. Some get more complex armor, but its not SM armor, since it would be seen as heresy.
2. Things like power claws/lightning claws are extremely valuable and ogryns are considered fodder, just like standard IG troops.
3. If an ogryn was found carrying a power weapon it would be confiscated.
4. "and does the company still gain money from other company sell their brand or not if they do ", just wtf are you trying to say? Obviously GW doesn't get anything when someone buys a non-GW product. In terms of kitbashing it isn't adherent to the lore.

Yup, no fancy power fists for ogryn, give um knuckle dusters it is literally in their lore that ogryns favor stubbers, ripeprs, and melee weapons especially knuckledusters and clubs.
Runic Tunic Oct 13, 2023 @ 8:21pm
I'd take Knuckle Dusters, Power Claw, or some random debris for a 2hander.

Glaive sounds awesome but idk how lore accurate it is and Power Fist is pretty much not possible without some lore bending or hoop jumping to explain how our Ogryns are not only smart enough to use it, but also aren't getting killed on sight for breaking Adeptus Mechanicus rules.

Ogryns are asking for bigger weapons. If they're askin' for bigger gIve em' a Chain Hammer! Simple as. Smash, Heavy, Rips. I just want something big for a sizable lad' a power maul being the highest complex machinery of a melee they currently have doesn't make a chainhammer to be difficult. They press button and enemy go smash crrrrsh.

It's a heavily underrepresented weapon despite it being used rarely by da boys (orks) and chaos. Even with the little art there is of it, the concept sounds enticing for an Ogryn as they both like smashing and cutting at the same time and it's a heavy weapon to use in combat. I don't recall seeing much art for this thing and Ogryns are the perfect eye for a resurgence of an iconic weapon that can be memorable as a Thunder Hammer. If we can use chainaxes in the Imperium of man, then why not a big hammer for a even bigger lad?

1. don't make me bring a nerd over for he been reading the book and all I know his blabbing mouth something about iron cage age when the guy who own the fist chapter seriously losing too many space marine, he seriously did had mechanicist use the remaining of space marine armor and mix of ogryn ppl to actually have that crazy improvise armor
2. yet another common saying it is rare, so is the POWER SWORD YET WE GOT THEM IN THE GAME!
3. yet we have the power club that do the same.
4. ask yourself did dnd had hack or bootleg characters before or had some random ass stories for the player must follow that forceful route, so does the same with warhammer 40k yet we cannot determined by the dev but they wrote so many lore yet already have discussion of super xeno in the deep black space out there and telling me this isn't bootleg bs? Quite the heresy viewing the bs the dev made about the xeno being more then planet size biomass for they are outside already made biggest bio mass for who know da ♥♥♥♥ where and don't say "it isn't part the lore" when they ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ announce it it is for who is in the question now the dev or their ♥♥♥♥ up lore?
