And if that's suppression I've never felt that's enough threat for over 500 hours of gameplay. It rarely occurs, like when 5~6 or more reapers or gunners pinning me down which is aim wavering around is least of your concern in that situation. It's little inconvenience at best. I'll skip this node.
long answer: suppression that is visible and obvious like you are describing is the result of reaching a high suppression state, which usually only happens when you are being barraged by gunners/reapers.
However, you can still experience "low suppression" that is more subtle. You don't always know that it is happening because it gets applied server-side before the client-side camera is updated, and immediately adds an effect that changes both spread (how far from center shots deviate) and sway (slight visible wobbling of camera in ADS that can move your aim off-center), and it can be significant enough that it causes you to miss even if you think you aimed perfectly
each rank-and-file enemy shooter fires enough shots that they are capable of pushing you into a low suppression state, and every subsequent shot makes it take longer for that to clear

if use a gun that is only close range, or has bad finesse bonusess, you don't need to hit single-digit-pixel sized weakspots to kill enemies. In this case, you might not need it because it won't make any difference in 90% of situations.
if you use a weapon like a headhunter/infantry autogun, lasgun, or revolver, it will frequently be the difference between hitting your first shot, having the enemies run for cover, and then struggling to accurately hit them in the head while they peek over a ledge or around a pillar. This is where suppression immunity becomes a major buff.
basically, if you are fighting ranged enemies, and you think it matters that your shots can land exactly where you are aiming, you *always* want suppression immunity
but either way, for one point, it is something that GUARANTEES accuracy and precision during ranged combat in a way that nothing else in the game can offer
