Who actually uses the 2H Chainsword on difficulty 5
I would like to love it but It rly sets me off that I need 2-3 normal Hits with that heavy "slow" weapon on standart enemies. What is your expierience?

not every weapon is ideal for the highest difficulties, which I think is intentional. the higher up the chain you go, the less leeway you get in ignoring your class role. but there are definitely still viable options

If it's intention I think that's very bad design. Every weapon should have a place and if they don't then they weren't balanced well enough.

i don't think it's bad design at all.

pretty much every game has a wide variety of weapons that are only useful in specific situations.

and every weapon does have a place. but sometimes that place isn't Damnation.

Exactly, situations, but if they can be ruled out merely by difficulty and not conditions on the battlefield. Or that the conditions in higher difficulty make the weapons strength never shine, then the weapon was designed poorly.

you're just splitting hairs

Id say Gear issue. Heavy Eviscerator is capable of high difficulty, just dont get one with Perfect Strike on it.

So what melee weapons can 1 shot in damanation? Anyone know?

ive seen it used Youtube and most people seem to spam the push attack combo. If your REALLY spicy you may fit one of the heavy melee attacks in but only the first attack in the combo does good cleave and leave you VERY open to interrupts. Most will use their dodges for both a dodge and position themselves for the next attack already winding up:

This video is only heresy difficulty but you can see that there are ways to make openings and get those attacks in. The Obese Fish has also changed weapons pretty heavily in the past so there is a possibility that things will change, but you and i may be near the next decade on before they find the time. Sometimes a weapon is just frustrating too. I jsut cannot figure out that heavy sword, yea cleaves good but the weapon feels like its whispering insults with its edge instead of a taking tasty cleaver bites.
2H chainsword sucks

It's great, you just need to know about combo canceling and the carapace breakpoint, savage sweep, thrust and similar blessings also make it better at horde clear.

I just used my Brutal tactical axe, your problems are no concern of mine.

But to be honest, that's too bad because the 2h chain seems really cool. I would like to be able to use it more on higher difficulties, but the current meta has a different vision.

I'm using 2h sword with about 500 power and love it: good croud control, stun effects on specials and it makes "wroom-wroom!". With some stacking bonuses it's able to oneshote standart enemies (3 or 4 for one swing) - no problem, as I remember.

What current meta? You do not require much to beat damnation outside of a single cleave/damage blessing and carapace to have it remain relevant there, outside of chaxe who just struggles.
