This right here.. You can already do "solo" matches on lower difficulty if your lvl 30, since most lvl 30s don't play on that difficulty(and the game matches you to similar leveled players). But I'd imagine it's "immeasurably complex" to simply disable public matchmaking on private games.

"Private" matches, except you can't do it by yourself, and if one of you leaves for any reason it automatically becomes public :)

Yeah it's really frustrating >_< I've been sitting on the game for 2 weeks now & only played the intro mission. Don't like to play with others...

If you were to play solo right now it would put the whole of map functions on the solo player, likely causing awful performance. They've said they're releasing solo play later but trying to fix performance first. Right now when you play on a Public server, the server is picking up a lot of the performance slack, instead of one host's PC calculating spawns etc.
