The Zealot Preacher is boring compared to others

Compared to the other classes its sort of skill-less and boring. Oh joy I get to rush for a few seconds while I slash at junk in a blur.
Am I missing something about the class? I feel stupid for leveling one to endgame before actually starting the game with the other classes because now I'm sort of burned out on the game.
I have a level 6 PP that is so much fun compared to the boring ZP class.

Zealot is the class having the widest skill gap between low and top class users. Control itself is not much difficult but it requires highest level of awareness and judgment on situations. If you feel boring then difficulty is too low or you are doing wrong while playing him. Literally, it is really hard to get a few sec rest in higher difficulty games playing zealot because he is very busy all the time not like other classes. Believe me I got 4 leaf clover trophy.

They get a really really cool flame thrower and under powered bonking hammer!
And they get cool voicelines like "SKULLS FOR THE GOLDEN THRONE!"
And they make adequte meat shields for veterans to shoot over around.

It sounds like you are only playing in 2 or 3 skull missions. in 4 and 5 the preacher becomes incredibly important for the toughness damage reduction and more importantly, as a frontliner. The game starts throwing a huge torrent of specials at you while also dealing with hundreds of walkers, so it's key to have a competent preacher or Ogryn to control the flow and control the chokepoints to give the veteran or psyker a chance to line up shots on the specials streaming in. And don't get me wrong, that doesn't mean a preacher won't be dealing with their own specials, you have to make sure not to let the 3 or 4 ragers just past you or all the ogryn beefy boys through either, you have to learn to stagger and control fights like a conductor.

You do you, but for me it is my favorite class, the two handed chain sword is really satisfying to use , the thunder Hammer bonk on an Ogryn is pretty dope as well, and your perks works best in mellee, boosting your attack speed instead of dying you can heal from the damage you've dealt, i mean if you prefer mellee over ranged there is no reason to find this class boring.

Personally, I don't want to recommend preacher for mid game players actually. He is good for just newbies or highly experienced users. He is core of horde control tactics and you should be extremely pressured at higher diff games. On low level games, yes you could feel much boring because threat is too weak and melee gears give you much authority to stomp them on low tier games but that's just the gate of hell.

Odd, Zealot is where I go for to have fun, though maybe that the Thunder Hammer more than the Zealot itself.
