In non-corporate speak that translate to:
We want to continue to prey on your fear of missing out and think you are toddlers that can't handle choice.
I am going to launch a complaint in my EU country about breach of EU law and then have the Authorities crack down on this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.
I like this part the most:
"Rest assured, the cosmetics are not gone forever and will likely reappear".
Not gone, and likely in the same sentence, lol.
So it may only irritate you, but the seller is making millions off what the older generation has fought against in brick in mortar stores for centuries. Shoppers should not be treated like gamblers in vegas while sitting at home playing a game they paid money for.
The person who is in charge of the store is taking advice from someone who has been to school for gambling style revenue systems. Plan and simple.
"What about being able to scroll down to view more crap instead?" - Don't get me started on the horrifying perils of that slippery slope!
made me lol
And @Thatguy97 i can definitely see that, I'm sort of a whale when it comes to 40k stuff, stuff like this actually has the opposite effect on me i guess, i can see the predatory marketing and it makes me reluctant to spend
Edit: Also yeah, big time fomo, lol. I like how they say "LIKELY return" instead of "WILL return" just to put doubt in your mind.
I do love them implying they're either too stupid to design a good shop UI or we're too stupid to handle it. Honestly, I'd be less offended by their FOMO-forcing intent if they just stopped talking about it. Ya gonna swindle us, at least be clever about it.
