Women as baby makers only apply to 1 planet in the Imperium and that's Krieg.
All other planets in the Imperium the women train alongside the men and fight alongside them.
This isn't new lore either, this is lore that has been in the universe from the start.
Main issue with 40k is that alot of people that play the games, know very little of the actual universe they play. They might own the models but few seem to read the lore in their codexes.
To put it nicely, the Imperium doesn't care about gender, men and women aren't treated differently. The Imperium overall doesn't care about much. Homosexuals for example are open and accepted because the Imperium doesn't care about that stuff. So many homosexual couples in the books, so many women fighting and no one bats an eyelid about it because it doesn't matter in that universe.
What the Imperium cares about is 1. If you aren't in the army, you meet your production quotas.
2. If you are in the army, you fight and if need be, die.
3. Worship the emperor and none of that chaos crap.
That's it. Do this and you are good and you can live your life(not that they have much of a life to begin with) in whatever way you choose.
So Darktide having 50% female characters possibly? And with one being a priest and the other looking like a Catachan jungle fighter? Yeah those are fine. None of those are unique in any way or rare in this universe and are common.
In other words, water is wet
Sorry, I can't read what you wrote through the rabid foam of your small ego of masculinity being poked.
But
this is a game not trying to be realistic now is it. A video game does need to adhere to basic human biology and sexual dimorphism. If this game was trying to be a realistic depiction of warfare then yes there would be a legitimate problem.
In Warhammer 40k, say your world needs to supply the Imperium with 2 million troops a year, the Imperium doesn't give 2 ♥♥♥♥♥ about what gender they are so those 2 million troops will be a mix of men and women. Maybe not always 50/50, sometimes more women, sometimes more men.
If one would look at the Imperial guard as a whole, you would see a fighting force that is extremely diverse and it's not so because of design but rather they can't afford to be picky.
If you can handle the training, handle your gun, you are in the Imperial guard more or less.
You are right about handling the training, most women cant handle a single pronated pull up even after some training and I doubt the imperium would care about different standards for women and men.
Not knowing anything about the lore, but trying to act like they're the all knowing smartasses.
Good, why is it so hard to look at the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ wiki.
Go back crying to your reddit friendolinos if you cant bring a serious argument ONCE
But women don't have to be strong to be in the Guard, some of them are but it's not a requirement. The main thing is that they need to be able to use their weapon and take care of it and be in good condition. As it is said, a cadian(boy or girl) can strip and reassemble their lasgun when they are 5 years old and at 6 they are deadly shots with it. After that it's all about learning about various parts warfare.
And Cadians are considered some of the best guardsmen around and are well respected and this include their women.
Catachan women are often depicted as what we see bodybuilders look like, including their women and they have to be strong to survive on their planet and are considered stronger then the average guardsman including the men.
Now you might throw all the real life studies or anecdotes at the screen all you want. They have no bearings here.
We are 40000 years into the future where humans aren't like they are on earth. They live on vastly different worlds and have evolved in order to survive on them. So their body and mind cannot be compared to humans in real life living on this planet with these set of conditions.
If you know so much about humans, how is it you have 0 clue about the setting these humans are part off?
These aren't 2020 earthlings, these are 41st Millenium Cadians, Catachans, Vedolaner, Valhalla.
Your arguments are hot air in this discussion, we talk about Warhammer 40k and not Earth 2020.
Calm? Maybe. Fragile baby? Absolutely.
