You can still do it, but what it does now is give you XP in a Mastery of your choosing. If you sacrifice a weapon that is part of the Mastery you chose, you get more XP.

Oh, that's very cool ! I guess it's not too hard now to get decent weapons ?
It's very easy, actually. Instead of being a pure game of chance with several layers of dice rolls (good stats, THEN good perks, THEN good Blessings), the only thing that's really left to luck is getting a weapon with max potential stats (80% of everything except one stat at 60%), and you'll often see those if you regularly check Melk/Armory. Getting the best weapon in a category is now a matter of time and ressources, and it's not even that much of either. Once you've full Mastery on a weapon, you can change its perks and Blessings at will.

Also, changing perks on curios is now competely unlocked too. The only thing you can't change is the "main" bonus (the one indicated separately on top of the list).

Confused about what? Watch one of the 7 minute YouTube vids on the Fatshark channel? It's pretty self explanatory I feel.

Weapon mastery is what unlocks your ability to modify your weapons.

There are three ways to modify your weapons, and each Mastery rank you gain in a weapon will improve one of them for that weapon:
- You can Empower your weapon, which will improve its base stats up to their potential maximum (the second percent number next to each stat). You can only Empower up to a certain power level depending on your weapon's Mastery rank. Once you unlock the max Power level (500), you can Empower up to its potential maximum.
- You can modify its Perks. Perks have four efficiency levels. You sometimes unlock these upon gaining Mastery rank. All levels have the same Perks, they just get better with each perk level.
- You can spend Blessing points to unlock Blessing you can apply to your weapon at will. Your Blessing points pool sometimes increase as your Mastery rank does. At first you're limited to level 1 Blessings, but spending points give you access to the higher tiers. Once you have unlocked all the points you could unlock from your weapon's Mastery rank, you'll have enough to unlock all levels of all Blessings for that weapon.

It's a pretty simple system, actually, it's just a lot to take in at once. But basically, you progressively unlock your ability to upgrade your weapons.

I vaguely remember you had to sacrifice weapons to Hardron to get new blessings/perks, that's still the case ?

You can still do it, but what it does now is give you XP in a Mastery of your choosing. If you sacrifice a weapon that is part of the Mastery you chose, you get more XP.
