Emphasis on 'legit". Sanctioned by FS. Suck on it....
Who. Cares. Are you just upset that someone using these mods might get more green circles than you on the scoreboard mod?
Honestly i wish i had the energy to campaign more, especially about stuff that is really wrong with the real world but the state there is already so scuffed that the point of entry to influence anything is beyond what i can spare in terms of time invested and nerves lost.
Op you are full of crap but i salute your resourcefulness of leveling this profile of yours ...
In what way are any of these cheats? What actual gameplay advantage do they give you? Maybe being able to see around walls with TPP, but enemies are AI so all you get is slightly more information before going around a corner? Slight target prioritization because you have slightly more information than your teammates about enemy health?
The biggest change any of these mods make is spidey sense because it gives you a MUCH clearer indicator of where a special is. With enough gametime anyone can do this anyway, since audio/spawn queues are so telegraphed and pigeonholed into maybe 2-3 spawning areas/doors in every game arena.
None of them are cheats and fatshark has sanctioned mods for this game that are not blatant actual cheats like changing statistics, currencies or gameplay values (or bypassing the cosmetic shop of course).
I understand its QoL aspects but given that it is abused as much as it is, it'd be better if it was removed.
The healthbar mod constantly being claimed to be a do-it-all wallhack that gives you superpowers and grows extra limbs out of your back is the funniest thing. You can use that mod easily for two minutes and see that it doesn't give you wallhacks or anything else. Healthbars do not pop up until after you have damaged the enemy or tagged it, meaning that NO, it doesn't show you the 20 gunners behind the next doorway.
OK, that has nothing to do with what I said but I agree with you.
What do you think about the aforementioned exploiting of the reconnect mod that some people are doing?
I have no opinion on it because I wouldn't use it and I only play with friends. Sounds like something I'd expect from people who play these games in pubs. Nobody in random pubs in these kind of games has any interest in co-op, they just want to be the best in front of a crowd, and they'll do anything to achieve that even if its only in their head.
The impact of such a mod cannot only be taken into consideration within the vacuum of "I only play with friend". My friends don't abuse it either but that doesn't mean that the effects of actions taken by people who do misuse the mod aren't negatively impacting the game as a whole. Your feelings on random groups have no bearing on this discussion.
Something as simple as preventing a reconnect when the game is forced to close would do the trick.
PS. For clarity, because people like the person I am quoting don't seem to be reading posts before they reply: I am talking about the reconnect mod in the context of people who rush through levels without attacking any enemies.
Have you talked with a Techpriest if you are allowed to do that?
