You might wanna adjust your brightness settings in-game. I know I'm using default brightness (0.00), and that makes the game brigther than intended.

ya thx i tried but it's not fixed, and i can easily see the difference because i run a custom res with black bars top & bottom

Alright. I visited a friend who's got an OLED last week, and I will also say the game didn't seem to bring out true blacks very well for him either. I remembered the brightness setting (not gamma, sorry) when I came home, so wasn't able to truly test that.

I have had the same problem since Darktides inception.. roughly 2+ years.. I doubt i'll be fixed soon. I've OLEDs on all my screens for awhile now and Darktide is one of many games that just has very poor HDR implementation. RTX HDR does a decent job properly configured but the performance cost is heavy in the high fps range. So for now.. there really isn't an answer until the devs get off their butts.

..Which I doubt is going to happen. It's been over a year and we still don't have FSR3 even though they unveiled it as one of the first games to get FSR3 back last August before FSR3 had even released. That's fat shark for you. P.S. the true whites in this game are also washed out.. and the colours are wrong too..

Ah crap - I am buying a 32" 4k 240hz OLED and an RTX 5090 when the 5090 lands and so this is the last thing I wanted to hear!

oky thx

i will however try nVIDIA Control Panel colour options, i remember you can have the panel open with the game behind and see the difference as you move the sliders, maybe the contrast option could work . . or even exagerating Windows HDR calibration might . . is a pain to do this though

You could use freestyle filters from the Nvidia app if you got Nvidia gpu, it looks decent enough on oled with Rtx Hdr + Rtx gamma enabled and tweaked

What comes to visual clarity and ghosting, there are no good 4k oled gaming monitors currently and i doubt we'll get one in a year.. You should get a 360hz 1440p oled one from MSI instead

Yeah those filters are done in the app now (Nvidia App), you can add and modify filters by pressing alt + z after you launch the game.
Rtx Hdr is pretty heavy to run but usually it's better than game's native hdr + 10x better than windows autohdr

I thought this was an accidental racism. I was pleasantly surprised it was not.

i've got an MSI LCD IPS and i must say it is gud quality, however i got an AOC AGON OLED because it was cheap but it is very nice it has the original LG panel from the last gen not long ago, i was looking at DELL their new 2K OLED is nice but it's very almost 2x the price

right i am in-game and adjusted contrast in nVIDIA Control Panel to maximum and then adjusted in-game brightness, and it is a bit darker :steamhappy: just to test it now . . .
