Psyker Cosmetics - Is this really the best FatShark can do?
I know that GW has to approve ALL of the cosmetics, but can we please get a few Psyker cosmetics that are a bit more.... I dunno, serious looking?

Some that don't lean so heavily into either the "I'm insane" or "Super Zaney" tropes? For me, the quality on the psyker cosmetics just isn't there. Like, there's a literal clown outfit, and one collar that looks like a giant fishbowl. I mean, is this really the best us Psyker mains can get?For me, the best Psyker cosmetic seems to be the free ones with the massive metal shoulder plates. Everything paywalled is just so subpar.

The Sharpshooter, at least for me, seems to the be where the top tier cosmetics are, with those cool commissar hats, the armageddon line and the steel legion stuff. He's also got a few cool goggle and helmet combos - but I just don't enjoy playing the Sharpshooter.

I do also enjoy playing the Ogryn once in a while, and I've bought a bunch of cosmetics for the Ogryn, because honestly I think he's got some the best cosmetics. Those armegeddon and steel legion outfits. Also those fully armored skins are awesome.

But the Psyker is my favorite class overall, and I've not bought a SINGLE cosmetic for him because I just don't like any of his cosmetics, despite really 'wanting' to buy something for him. V_V

Non-premium cosmetics are non-existent across the board. In my opinion each class has basically just 1 acceptable outfit, while everything els is literal bloat of color variation.

If devs folded the outfits based on appearance and had sub-tab for colors then entire cosmetic page would be nearly barren.

The worth while cosmetics are entirely pay-walled as if the game was live-service. Despite the fact devs themselves are stating that the game isn't live-service.

Come on, there are good premium sets for psykers. Serious ones. The recent one, for example. Steel Legion, Krieg, MK-VI set, Enforcers, aaaand... that's it! :)
Basically Uniforms are cool. I don't dig this "ragged outlaw" styles which are majority of prem shop.

So, you don´t like the cosmetics? Legit PoV. I own 4 sets i do like. Guess it´s a matter of how much money are you willing to spend in the store.

Yeah, that’s if you’re willing to buy micro transactions in a $40 game. Not all of us are going to reward Fatsharks greed.

Outside of a rare few Inquisitors, Psykers tend to be infamously difficult to put to use from a tactical perspective which makes bulky equipment meant to bleed off their excess power necessary. That's the aesthetic and always will be to one extent or another; Tubes ad infinitum.

If it helps fund free updates then I don't see the harm and $40 for a game that has given me 1600+ hours of entertainment is a pretty solid deal.

People like you only see the surface level and only because you think that you deserve to be given everything for free in an already cheap video game.

The toilet bowl / beauty mirror are official models by Gamesworkshop.

Even the "blindfold" is a GW idea:

And arguably the "cranium" implant stuff is very reminiscent of Space Marine Librarian cowls.

First time for everything, i guess. Seeing someone complain that the Paid for cosmetics ain't better looking than the free stuff is funny.

Darktide's cosmetics draw alot of inspiration from Necromunda. I'm guessing you want your Psyker to look like this:

I'm pretty happy with the cosmetic that looks like this:

the big collars are attachments for Psychic Hoods, which are an anti-daemon warding system designed to stop you from accidentally summoning stuff that eats worlds. That's what all those big cowls with tubes attached are. They're like standard kit for the imperial guard, and every low-grade sanctioned psyker gets one. Primaris and Grey Knight psykers get extra fancy ones.

Yea, that's the Necromunda theme. Hive gangs, Hive cities. We're fighting in a Hive city, afterall. :)

None of the paywalled stuff for the Psyker makes me want to change my current outfit - the one with the giant metal pauldrons and silver armor bits, along with the free hood with goggles and face-mask.

None of the paid for cosmetics interest me either... i don't see the problem here, you are saving money.

I guess that's one way of looking at it.
