Uninstall the game.
Delete the 'appdata\roaming\fatshark\darktide' folder.
Install the game again.
Also, another user mentioned that Nvidia reflex causes a big drop in fps and I found it true for me too.
And try using DLSS with AMD FSR frame gen.
For me? It's now running solid again after the recent patch that reset the graphics settings.
I am using the same settings i was before.
13700K
6950XT
32GB DDR5
980 Pro Nvme
I've also lost a lot of frames and stability. The game crashes several times per day with the same settings.
I have now (almost) the same Settings aside from even having lowered the Mesh Quality, Ragdolls and Sharpness a bit and i have all my Mods removed but im still only getting 60-80FPS and i got an 4070 Super - prior to the latest Update i had no Problem constantly remaining above 80-100FPS with higher Settings, like 80FPS would still be fine for me but when it drops to around 60 you can really feel it almost like as if its actually below 60
Full Uninstall and Reinstall, no more Mods, lower Settings but still get worse Performance than before...just not fun playing like that when i had better Graphics and Performance before :/
I would try DLSS frame gen if I had a 40 series - But you probably already tried it.
My system:
Latest BIOS and drivers
3080
- Auto OC by Nvidia App
7800x3d
- Curve Optimiser -10
64gb 6000mhz
1TB samsung 990 pro ssd
- I don't believe the ssd or ram type & size matters much.
Windows 11
- Graphics settings
-- Hardware accelerated gpu scheduling OFF
-- Optimisations for windowed games OFF
- Gaming
-- Game mode OFF
- Nvidia CP
-- Anisotropic filtering x 16
-- Max Frame Rate 237 (240hz screen)
-- Gsynch enabled
-- Power management prefer max performance
-- Everything else set to default
I run the game with these settings:

To contrast with your performance, I would have problems getting down to 80-100fps -Usually much higher than that.
And if I turn on frame gen it's absurdly high, but ignores my fps limit in Nvidia CP and I 'feel' a stutter from time to time.
Enable either FSR upscaling or Xess upscaling or disable FSR 3 frame generation.
DLSS upscaling might also work, can't test it since I have AMD.
FSR 3 frame generation I think needs some form of upscaling being activate, to get the frame data to generate frames from.
I think atm the option menu in darktide supports having FSR 3 frame generation enabled with no upscaling enabled.
Apparently darktide needs a restart when the error is triggered, changing options accordingly doesn't fix it without a restart.
