I'm still on Havoc 25 myself right now but I'm in no real rush, though I had no issues release day, and had 2 wipes the few days later, especially when groups clear less, charge more and aernt that.. stable at doing so.
That and the victory I DID have didn't actually reset my failures, it just removed the one.
If anything I'd rather the failure level loss wasn't there, to let people experiment more, rather than potentially get frustrated, especially if that one mission they struggle with "prior" is a particularly nasty one.
As an aside, has anyone found out if failing "under" your rank still applies the failure credit? If so that'd also disincentivize helping out others if you're in the process of ranking up.
You can start at 16 and speedrun to around 30 so a dedicated group should be able to do it all in less than 15 hours.
Some people are indeed just that good at the game, though such claims lost some weight since people tend to use mods to gain some sort of advantages.
I use mods. I'm good at the game. Havoc is fair.
Your take is that, because "some" people use extremely specific builds and can rise in ranks with their friends.
That Havoc is perfectly balanced and totally not broken in any way.
Perspectives like this cut out any chance to improve things and just make it into an argument of "git gud". When its not that at all.
Havoc mode ruins class identity. By the time people reach rank 40, how much health will Ogryns have? 50? 25?
This mode is tipping into game design imbalance. It's affecting the core design of the classes and their role.
I guess Ogryn can't tank anymore so what is his role? Shoot big gun, smash heads? And die from 2 bullets?
Boring.
are you talking about 99% of these "pro gamers" in destiny 2/warframe/battlefield/etc?
Me: Fair enough.
Gunners now: *Walks around my cover while shooting*
you underestimate the power of autism.
It's basically a hard check on your team build composition and it's annoying. Even with plenty of toughness, toughness damage reduction and 60% gunner damage reduction. Small group of them still melts you down in couple seconds when caught in the open if you aren't overcharged.
If you don't have a team that spams toughness with abilities then having a psyker with a bubble is just mandatory. It's otherwise incredible hassle to rapidly gun them down as veteran since they just keep coming in like straight from the factory conveyor belt and you need to rely on random teammates to keep melee enemies off you on the mean time.
