Yeah I've made a melee build for psyker using it and it's doing pretty well.

the key is constant light attacks and heavy attacks while running into big things.

Well all that matters is having fun. Charging up that sword to full power with stacks and you annihilate everything that isn't armored.

But you are still much more fragile then a zealot.

not too hot. I am not sure about the fully charged slash attack but for the most part its just like the regular blaze force sword as far as bosses go

Psyker already has fantastic tools for dealing with...well everything...except monsters (single target in general).

I hope that the heavy strikedown attacks give it some use in that regard otherwise we will just be better off using the 1h anyways....

But it is very cool and fun to use sooo.

From the couple runs of testing I've gotten in with it I'm not super impressed (mechanically anyway; as far as the visuals / animations it's 10/10).

The base damage, cleave, and stagger are good for sure... but the much slower attacks and lower mobility, combined with the fiddly moveset and lack of some of the best blessings available to the 1 handed versions (Uncanny Strike for armor piercing and Slaughterer for raw power), are making me strongly consider just going back to my old reliable Illisi.

It handles crushers very well, but so far I feel like the one handed version buffed up with proper blessings dealt with any other elite far more easily, and cleared hordes just as fast.

I didn't find the new weapon fit my playstyle. I feel is Assault Chainaxe better for Unyielding bosses in case other 3 has no idea what they're doing during their spawn.

I don't think they advertised them as a replacement for regular force swords. With the new loop where you can better fight horde on Obscurus those things are cooking hard on their own.

These are a bit more power but slower. The special is definitely interesting but I had more use out of it spamming it for routine staggers than saving up big blasts. With the widened aggro sphere of gun enemies and the new marching fire tactics of gunners you want them pinned at all times.

I am not even done with mastery and the greatsword is truly a gift from the omnissiah.

With gaze and disrupt destiny the sword attacks are powerful and when you have warp slice blessing on the sword your special attack get guaranteed critical hit. So once it's fully charged and your stacks are up. You straight up cut the horde in half.
