END GAME STATS
I want an endgame scoreboard, so I can know how much I'm carrying my bros, why isn't this implemented? The game should already track them for penances I believe. What are yalls thoughts?

https://www.nexusmods.com/warhammer40kdarktide/mods/22 FS has made it clear they won't be adding a ingame scoreboard if you want it mod it in.

I think you should open your eyes and look at all the other threads on the frontpage discussing the same thing, or even use the search function to find all the other threads.

if you really want to get into the stats you can also get Power DI, all the statistics you could wish for

I'm really shocked they never included it. All it does is make people play better and its nice to see how many enemies and specials you killed.

There’s a mod, but it’s really not necessary.

have they? The post I remember is basically from the stone age and never said that they'll never add one in.

"Feedback received.

That said, the mod exists and you can indeed use it as you already are. Your needs are met.

We have also received a fair bit of feedback that the mod alters the way they play the game, and in a way they found to be either a detriment to their enjoyment or a detriment to cooperative play.

We have also received evidenced reports of players who use the scoreboard mod specifically to attack other players’ playstyles or contributions.

Given the why this thread is unfolding I’m inclined to lock it down.

Again, thanks for the feedback."

Sure you can find some more stuff regarding their stance on scoreboard but I'm too lazy to dig deeper atm. There's also the fact of why now would they add it in after 2 years let alone every time a scoreboard is talked about you got people fighting about how it's toxic or how it isn't. Much easier for them to just let the people who want it to mod it in and those who don't care not have to worry about it. But once again just look up the countless forums talking about scoreboard and see how split people are on the topic.

This alone should be a good reason to see why they wouldn't want to add this in.

At least that is a definitive stance they took.
I cannot say to agree with them, given how not only did I never encounter the behaviour Hedge described, nor does he explain how he can be sure about the caustion or the amount of reports they received. Or how they track scoreboard users behaviour to say that it's a detriment to cooperative play.

Seems rather unfunded to be honest. But I do agree, for them it's possibly best to simply sit it out. Even though I consider that decision to be rather baffling.
LaFont Nov 20, 2024 @ 6:46pm
tbf 99+% of the toxicity surrounding the scoreboard mod is people complaining about people who use the scoreboard mod

people who actually use it are too busy looking at their stats and figuring out ways to improve their build to be toxic to the people who don't know their stats

I'm more in the camp that if someone is toxic their going to be toxic with or without the scoreboard they'll find a way. Even though it's a PvE game where there really isn't much of a flex at being better than someone else they'll always find a way to get their ego boast. In the ideal world they would add it in but be able to turn it off in the settings or something. As even after 1300hrs the only time I've had someone say anything about scoreboard is when they drop a 1m damage game or something not trying to be toxic but more as hype. But each their own sucks for console that don't have an option to mod the game.

Tbf, even tho I am one the pro-scoreboard side of things, I usually just let my brain do the happy juices and come up with confabulations to convince myself that the one stat I excelled at was super-duper-important for the success of that specific round.
I don't even think about improvement. I just play and sometimes get to reap a little dopamine reward.

I absolutely agree.
Some studies recently have also found that aggressive behaviour and thoughts are less linked to the amount of violence in a game, but the multiplayer aspect of it. If it takes several players to reach a win condition (doesnt matter if coop or competetive games), failure will trigger aggression in players. As in "Why do I deserve to lose, it's the other guy who messed up!"
It directly affects their feeling of self-efficacy. Wich the human brain does not like at all. And I du suspect it's applicable to this topic as well.

I no longer play with open lobbies because of two things, first being people that come in to a game and just spam the n-bomb and do their best to ruin matches, and second being scoreboard bros telling me I'm trash because I didn't do this or that. Never again, y'all can eat my ass, I will only ever play with closed lobbies, the randoms in this community are racists or pieces of ♥♥♥♥ so they can go ♥♥♥♥ themselves

I wonder if I am doing incredibly right or incredibly wrong for never having experienced something like this. The worst I ever experienced was a ruaasian Slayer bardin in V2 who ran ahead, died and then started to yell something into his very poor quality mic.

Does Hedge still work for FS? Wasnt he replaced as community manager?

I still get a good laugh about how developing games are immeasurable complex and how DT is not CoD in context of weapon attachments being marketed prior to release then canned from release...but then Grasmann modded it in successfully.

Id take anything quoted from Hedge with a grain of salt.

I am specifically speaking to Darktide on the point I made. I never had an issue in VT2 with randoms
