Serious technical/performance issues?
I was thinking about buying this game but the current reviews talk about its poor performance, will there be more updates that will fix it or is this the final game?

And now its back to normal where, if you meet the minimum requirements, slap the graphics settings on "low" put on FSR 3.1 on "ultra performance" (or just "performance" if you can spare those few fps for the game looking way nicer) and you should have a reliable 40-50fps
You can reach 60fps but rather unstable with "ultra performance" and if you tweak some settings as you can put stuff lower as "low" doesnt put everything completely down or disables anything that is able to be disabled
Though for whatever reason the hub has poor performance compared to the missions, no idea why (like literally nuking my fps count by 20 for simply existing in the hub)
Overall the performance is good though the hub has rather questionable performance, and depending on the settings you flip on/off you can have massively varrying results (if you wanna test your fps count go into the meatgrinder, way more reliable to see fps increases/decreases in there than the hub)

I say this with a GPU that Darktide says is "below minimum requirements" btw.
GPU in question: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti

They are continuously patching the game. One of the more recent patches has reduced the performance for some players. But overall, the performance is pretty good. But, that varies from system to system and player to player.

Edit: You can always return the game within 2 hours of gameplay if you buy it on Steam.

Game is smoother after last update. If you have 3080/7900XT/4070 GPU you'll do great with some settings on high

I have a 4070 and with raytracing off I get well over 100 fps
Giving me high range GPU is a bad reference. xd
In metacritic posts I've seen that they've been criticized for that mostly, leaving the game in an ugly yellow color, I plan to play this with an RTX 4060/R5 3600/16gb ram 3200mhz (2x8).

Yeah, one of the most recent fixed some image scaling issue that was tanking frames. Something about "native resolution" and crap.

it'll be fine on medium/low and 1080p, whether it's through scaling or setting it lower. There is FSR frame gen but it's not very good IMO. Game still looks good even on low

Performance is pretty good for me, for the most part. A vast majority of the time I get a steady 60fps, and occasionally during intense fights I'll get minor frame drops for a couple of seconds (we're talking in the ballpark of 3 or 4 frames). You might get a stutter for a second sometimes when a new player joins, or just randomly once in a blue moon but other than that it is smooth sailing from my experience.

I play on high settings with DLSS turned on (quality mode), at 1440p resolution. I do have corpses turned down to 8 (default is 12 iirc), and I think I have one or two minor sfx settings turned to medium. My system specs are a RTX 3070, Ryzen 5600x, 32gb ram.

I hope this information helps you a bit, cheers OP.

If you run it on a 1050 ti then the metacritic reviews should be updated, thanks a lot everyone, maybe I'll give it a try, especially now that it's in the Humble Choice.
