Try:
- Validating files through steam game properties.
- Last patch introduced some stuttering issues due to shaders. If you have just posted this after a single game, give it a few more tries to let the cache fully rebuild.
- In the launcher settings, drop the worker threads count or whatever it's called down a couple from the default.
- If you are using mods, try updating mods that are out of date or toggling mods off and if that fixes things, toggle mods back on and install them a couple at a time until the problem returns and skip those.
- Check/update your GPU drivers.
I have noticed myself the dropped inputs have returned just a bit, but not as bad as it was a few months ago which is due to the servers you are connecting to you. Unfortunately, not much you can do about that. This would also count for things like your attacks doing nothing and the floating/skating enemies. If it's as extreme as you say and nothing seems to work, try a full uninstall/reinstall and see how that goes.
Are you connecting via Wifi or noticing any upload/download stability issues on your end by chance? Not that this is likely a problem on your end but worth checking into. I have noticed a few games since the last round of patch/hotfix where games I joined led to a similar, unplayable experience with floating enemies and lagging out AI. May relate to a D/C from the host server on some level.
In my case I haven't seen this very much in the past couple of weeks but I did have a few games that went like that in the past month. May need to check which servers you are connecting to by default if it is persistent or try joining someone on Discord and creating a private game to see if it runs any differently in that setting if possible.
Even if you are on Windows, you could try running it through Proton and see if it helps or not. Food for thought.
It's still happening. Though it was acknowledged a while back. They tried to alleviate it by removing music from ambushes, but that just exacerbated the issue. So they returned the music, and we haven't heard anything else about it.
Edit: Assuming you're talking about silent spawns
Numbers are down... may be getting matched somewhere far away depending where you live. *shrug* Ive played some downright degen hours from the eastcoast tho and usually cant notice much. Sometimes, but nothing on the level you're talking about.
Did you install the game recently or had it installed since you first played? Could try deleting the darktide folder in AppData\Roaming\Fatshark\ then reinstalling.
