Fatal Error!!!

Failed to read D:\Steam\ steamapps\ common\WArh 40000 darktide\binaries\,,,\bundle\data/99/99190f33c2213af2,Make sure that your game files are not corrupt by <VERIFY INTEGRITY OF GAME FILES,,,,>in steam/Contact support it this stiil occur after verifying the game files.

After installing the "Patch of Redemption" patch, the game does not start. checking the files shows that all installed files are checked, repeated reinstallation of the game along with Windows gave no result, deleting this (99190f33c2213af2) file is the same, adding everything that can be added to the firewall exceptions, the result is zero. Forced launch of anti-cheat via bat. file didn't help. Downloading the game distribution from other countries gives the same result.

После установки патча " Patch of Redemption" не запускается игра. проверка файлов показывает что все установленные файлы проходят проверку, многократная переустановка игры вместе с виндовс результата на дала, удаление данного(99190f33c2213af2) файла тоже самое, добавление в исключения брандмауэра все что можно добавить, результат ноль. Принудительный запуск античита через bat. файл, не помог. Скачивание дестрибутива игры с других стран тот же результат.

Experienced the same issue. Had it happen repeatedly (so far 4-5 total crashes with the same "Fatal Error - Failed to read". After verifying the integrity of game files, it happens again on the 2nd / 3rd games after the 1st. I may file a technical report on the Fatshark Forum later on (been busy with a few things). That, and maybe there'll be some kinda fix by then.

I contacted support and they sent me instructions. Sorry to hear this. I've attached a copy of the '99190f33c2213af2' bundle to this email. Please download it, and replace the existing version with it, to see if this addresses your issue.

NOTE: If Steam Cloud saving is enabled for Darktide, this may automatically restore the bundle and consequently cause the error to resurface. You can disable Steam Cloud Saving for Darktide via the Steam client by:

Navigate to your Steam library
Right-click Darktide
Select 'Properties'
On the 'General' tab, scroll down to 'Steam Cloud'
Disable 'Keep game saves in the Steam Cloud for Warhammer 40,000: Darktide'.

Unfortunately it didn't help me. The file itself was uploaded

Yup, this is happening to me too. I am lucky if I complete a match.

I cant even play a match. After 2-3 seconds in the morningstar fatal error kicks in every time.
Did the verifying stuff several times. Restarted pc/steam but it doesnt help.

Yeah i did it. Just reinstalled the whole game and its like there has never been a problem.. x)
I dont get it but at least it works.

I just tried uninstalling, deleting the the darktide folder under Steam->steamapps->common->Warhammer 40,000 Darktide, and then reinstalling and that didn't seem to work. My fear is that there will be no way to play until the devs fix the problem.

not working, the problem seems to be solely on Fatshark end, which is a bummer, I bought the game and cant ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ start it. Im downvoting.

I definitely don't blame you. I've been playing on and off since the beta and this game has a lot of good aspects to it, but its really disappointing how inconsistent Fatshark has been with the stability for this game especially because it's two years old now.

My PC is high end and this is the first game that I have ever encountered fatal error making it unable to even launch, this is like 2000's type of thing not 2024. Also the bug is acknowledged but apparently it is not a priority as no info for it since 4 days.

Fixed my problem by downgrading windows 11 to windows 10...
