Ironically, Orgyns Don't have the crutch of Shout, Icon, Bubble.
Edited, looks like people are coming out of the woodwork to say it's "skill issue" and "you thing".
I'd love a hit of whatever crack they're smoking.
Since they nerfed Feel No Pain (I've seen some people saying it's also bugged right now where friendly fire takes away stacks), I've been playing around with the right side of the tree with Point Blank Barrage + Bullet Bravado (for toughness regen) + Hail of Fire = quick way to kill packs of Maulers, Scab Ragers, even Crushers if you have the right Blessings / Perks. Paired with Get Stuck In, every time I use my ability I gain 20% movement speed and then I also take Unstoppable Momentum for an additional 20% movement speed on ranged kill.
I take as much of the toughness nodes in the tree as humanly possible and have 2 x +21% Health and a +17 Toughness curio.
Sometimes I switch to Bull Rush (since it's handy for getting out of clumps of elites spawning on top of you), but for the most part, I like how fast I can delete packs of elites with PBB + Kickback. I've taken this on Auric and it felt pretty safe.
That's not getting into detail with the hold S key and LMB class + nade spam, and safety net glass cannon dps. They're all easy upon the baseline.
I think baseline that is his problem. In melee, Ogryn feels fine, strong, and his ranged build can melt anything except crushers (and even crushers with the right setup) easily but as more of an emergency button/boss deleter (i think of gunlugger ogryn like thammer zealot, specialized in that way). Old shieldgryn dealt with this by taunt pulling gunners, which still works to some extent, but full shield build feels pretty bad with FnP now (which was nerfed into the damn ground, rip)
SKILL ISSUE.
Ps. I main zealot/ver and i had a blast playing my ogryn champion kicking asses in aurics (all penences done ofc).
I do think the FNP nerf was too far though, probably should buff it back up.
you just need practice really since Ogryn has to play each map in a different way than the other 3 who all play similar enough your experience and muscle memory carry over, i main the class though so obviously my experience is different to the ones who dont

They need better defense against range or better ways to deal with range. Slab helps a lot but its also not fun being limited to always using shield. Even with 3 curios with gunner damage reduction it can be a miserable experience when the rest of the team would rather 1 v 1 a melee mob than deal with the 10 gunners shooting at you. Or just play Zealot.
