Wait, you are trying to use logic.
Darktide players can't understand logic.
con·vo·lut·ed: extremely complex and difficult to follow.
Darktide is not complex. You see enemy. You kill enemy.
Gameplay is not niche. Its very routine. You deal with every enemy type the same.
A dog jumps, you push and kill. A mutie charges you, you dodge and kill. A trapper flanks to net you, dodge and kill. Gunners firing on your position, flank and kill. Suppressed by enemy gun fire, find cover, then flank and kill. Ragers running you down, dodge and kill. Boss spawns, the characters literally tell you what to do, AIM FOR THE WEAK POINT...to kill. Have an objective to complete, again the characters tell you what to do "COVER THE _____". Its all routine.
Skill tree does add alot power and stat adjustment to level the playing field when comparing a lvl 1 character on sedition to a lvl 30 character in Auric Maelstrom. This is proven out by people with grey mediocre stat distributed weapons successfully completing Auric Maelstrom missions. The majority of player power is in the skill tree. God rolled weapons just enable the player to do what they are already doing (killing) faster.
Blocking and dodging are tools. Neither are better than the other at keeping you alive, but killing something before it can deal lethal damage to you is pretty much the best thing you can do to keep yourself alive.
The game is not difficult. Everyone is not at a disadvantage. People make mistakes. People are not great at playing video games. It happens.
It was at this point that I had to stop reading. XD
You might have more success running Tier 5 missions if you stop killing yourself. ;)
Unhappy with the player skill level at T5? Play T5 Auric missions then; most players on that difficulty level know the game's mechanics inside-and-out. ;)
THIS IS WHY PEOPLE WANT SINGLE PLAYER YOU DEVELOPER ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
Honestly the best place to learn what weapons work against enemies is in the Psykhanium. Fatshark does their best to make the new player experience worse by locking the Psykhanium enemies behind level requirement for some reason - even though as you level up you won't need it as much. If you inspect your weapon though, you can see what the attack damage is against different armor types, which can help.
Also don't worry about ruining someone else's damnation experience by being new, a lot of people go in to ruin the game on purpose, most people would just be happy that you're trying.
